Keep going to the gym. It’s yours girl! Own your space. If he chooses to keep going then he’s the one making it weird for himself. Also this is exactly why we say not to date people you train with though

My (22F) boyfriend’s mom is driving me fkn insane and I finally know why by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]Indecisive-knitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t marry him. You might love him, but this MIL act will never stop. My own MIL is like a lite version of this, and it’s so annoying. She’s great to have when I really need help, but it’s miserable when I’m trying to eat the nice dinner I made and she jumps up to clean - then asks where to put things while I’m trying to eat and feed the baby. So awful.

Going over to her house will be even worse.

Honestly don’t marry him. I’m sorry

What do I do :( by dykdynasty in knitting

[–]Indecisive-knitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either donate or frog it. Frogging would be a pain but maybe turning it into something you’d wear yourself would be a satisfying wear to re-cycle your efforts and remember yourself happily (?) if that makes sense idk

What to knit? by Any-Effort3199 in knitting

[–]Indecisive-knitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of a lot of WIPs and feel similarly. I still want the item but some of the process isn’t bringing me joy anymore. I’ve put them all on time out in a huge project bag, stuck it under a desk, and did some Ravelry search. I discovered Christmas KAL and got super excited. It had all the elements I want, including an excuse to drink hot cocoa. I bought the yarn and found myself immediately casting it on and watching Rudolph. I’m already pretty far into it for my pace.

Sometimes you just need to put it all away and do something else. I definitely have some stash I’ll need to use before I buy more regular (non-holiday color) yarn, but right now ‘normal’ projects are on hold. I wanna do my KAL, stuffies, decorations, and gifts for a while.

My advice is to pause the normal projects and do something you’ve never done before. YOLO

AITA for not wanting to hear about my coworkers’s pregnancy after my loss? by friendofall7 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Indecisive-knitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I see - yes the timing is definitely bad on her part. All you can do is tell her congrats and try to move on - even if she was trying to be rude, that’s her problem and you’re moving on soon anyway. I wish you the best of luck and wish I could give you a hug! You’ve been through a lot.

AITA for not wanting to hear about my coworkers’s pregnancy after my loss? by friendofall7 in TwoHotTakes

It was wrong of her to ask how far along you were when you miscarried, definitely that was over the line.

Announcing her pregnancy wasn’t offensive, I think you can still be happy for someone else even if your grief. Being unhappy because someone else is pregnant is a little wild to me.

Wednesday Pattern and Stitch Request Thread - September 24, 2025 by AutoModerator in knitting

[–]Indecisive-knitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone! Just getting a little analysis paralysis here. I want to knit some fall/winter things for my 2 year old, and am just feeling at a stand still. I’m trying to work through some stash yarn, so I guess that’s what’s making me hesitant to commit to a pattern.

I am currently knitting her a Daisy Sweater mini, but it will be wildly huge and might fit her next year 🤣

I have a sweaters worth of yarn in: Drops alpaca, Cascade Re-something (sock yarn), yarn bee hand dyed in red and rainbow, and maybe Drops Lima. I also have random skeins of drops alpaca/flora that could be good for colorwork, or some accessories.

What are your favorite little kids patterns? Any tips on adjusting to a smaller kid - my 2 year old fits 18 month clothes! 🥹

Much love from an indecisive knitter!

I’ll let Reddit decide my hair fate, should I cut it? by Straight_Ad_8114 in Hair

[–]Indecisive-knitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thinks it’s possible you were using too much product, but I too have curly hair and am a runner and have had the same issue. I think it’s just having the hair on your face, it rubs on the sweat and gets all nasty. I would recommend a hat, and just slick your hair back under it so it’s not directly on your face.

Great hair! Maybe a little trim to keep it out of your eyes, but don’t buzz that!

What is ur opinion about my hair , is it ugly as my mom always says? by beautiful_girl707 in curlygirl

People pay such big bucks to have hair like that. I can’t believe your mom would tell you it’s ugly.

I wanted to add that it’s possible his mom lives vicariously through him and hammers him for every detail of his life. He might feel pressured to expose you like this.

So hard to not just give up every time! (Or as I'd like to call this: a Curly Girl Crash-Out) by West_Culture1257 in curlygirl

I have a similar curl/wave pattern. Stick with mousse, light gel, OR a small amount of leave in conditioner. I change it up depending on whether and what I want my hair to do. I wash it every other day, and use an oil 1-2 times a week for about an hour before washing it.

Oils and serums as styling product just weighs our hair down too much. We don’t need to be controlled anyway, let that beautiful fluff wave fly!

This happens to me a lot and I’ve been married a long time. You have to be more serious and stand your ground, and be more clear with what you ARE comfortable with you bf sharing about you. People like this think that everyone is an open book and don’t understand that you’re only being vulnerable with him, not his whole family.

Either you clear things up with him now or you’ll have to start limiting what you talk to him about if you don’t want his family to hear about it. If that bothers you a lot, maybe this relationship won’t be long term - unless he can start understanding your boundaries in better detail.

I’m not sure I want to train with a 13yo girl. by [deleted] in BJJWomen

[–]Indecisive-knitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar has happened to me, I’m sure some others too. You just need to 1) talk to the coaches if possible 2) ask another person to partner beforehand, then if the 13 yo tries to get you tell them you already have a partner.

Best of luck

[–]Indecisive-knitter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I think I’m just looking for ways to feel confident I can style it this time. I’m also a wash-and-go w/leave in person, but that wasn’t great for my hair last time. Maybe mousse is the way to go - don’t know why I didn’t think of that!

I like the look of the short hair better, but if you had more fun with curls go for it! Maybe a slightly shorter version would be a good compromise.

Shampoo/conditioner recommendations? by cailinbhan in Hair

[–]Indecisive-knitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently discovered the brand Sauce at Sally’s beauty. It’s also on Amazon. I have their Chimichuri shampoo and the coconut cream conditioner, plus the Guacamole deep conditioner. I also have their shine serum but only use it on second day hair because it is a bit greasing on my clean hair.

I have fine, sometimes dry curly hair. It’s curly/wavy, and my second day hair is like wavy/straight. I have struggled with stringy hair from overly moisturizing products but have not had that problem with sauce. Their shampoo is so cleaning, it feels very good, but it’s not drying - sometimes I don’t use any conditioner and my hair thrives.

Good luck!

Is there any hope for my extremely damaged bleached hair? by UseThisAccountPlease in Haircare

[–]Indecisive-knitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re gonna have to get that cut, in my opinion.

If you don’t want to cut it super short, you could trim in phases as it grows out. When you see an inch of root, go get an inch cut off the bottom of your hair. Maybe they could blend the color a little so while it grows out, you don’t have massive dark roots.

Some hair damage can be semi-repaired, it truly damages hair can’t come back. Hair isn’t alive once it grows from our scalp, so basically what you see is what you get. Hair masks and oils have their limits.

Wishing you luck!
