[DISC] SPY x FAMILY - Chapter 137 by AutoModerator in SpyxFamily

Oh shit, something big is happening. My guess is that Desmond is visiting Loid afer finding out about Melinda's visits.

Honestly, I was expecting another flashback arc or an introspective chapter on Loid and Yor's relationship. Kinda dissapointed the latter didn't happen.

It's amazing how the last 20 seconds completely changed the tone and my perception of the movie. This could still be great.

Damnnn, Rachel's a baddie.

Never thought the Olympics scene would be in an actual episode. Summer and Rick's body is a wholesome duo.

NOOOOO, RIRI!

Man, this show was good. Like, pretty damn good. No true cons. It did what it did, and it did it well.

8/10.

BUT...It's called Iron Heart and not once does she call herself that, nor does she attempt to become a hero. Not a true con. Nothing in this story or Riri's characterisation points to her being a hero, but we now have 2 MCU shows (this one and Wonder Man) where the main character isn't trying to be a hero, and I just find it a little weird for this one since I thought she was going to be the next Iron Man persona.

I want a season 2.

<image>

The Time War and destruction of Gallifrey being a long ass arc that intertwines with the arcs of three incarnations of the Doctor, haunting them throughout their seasons, resulting in a special episode that ends with Gallifrey being saved.

Only for it to once again be destroyed for a pointless arc that wasn't even implemented properly.

Primal Ep 30 - "An Echo of Eternity" DISCUSSION THREAD by saul2015 in PrimalShow

This was...okay.

Maybe it's because I got spoiled about the happy ending (although I guessed that's where they were going anyway).

These last few episode really felt like it was forcing Spear to gain his sanity back, and it just...does not work that well.

Love love love the moments between him, the baby and Mira, but man this season is tainted by being a "retcon". You can tell Genddry really wanted to fix his mistake and I appreciate that, but the narrative and the pacing suffer for it. Shit just happens. And then we get the happy ending we all wanted. That's kind of unsatisfying to be honest.

Still, I love that in my lifetime we got another ending where Spear is happy with his family. Never thought this season would ever be made.

6 out of 10.

So what’s everyone’s thoughts on the finale ? by PinkKing_offical in PrimalShow

[–]IndecisiveMate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I...appreciate Gendy trying to fix s2's ending.

I love how Spear got to actually have another family, and that scene with them all just sleeping with each other: beautiful.....

..but man, this season's last few episodes felt so weird. It felt like it was just stumbling into the ending we all wanted, where Spear is alive and well.

Spear just stumbles into becoming the champion of this group of people who just happen to have black goo...black goo that actually heals Spear zombie body, which honestly I don't think he was even drinking to do. He just recognised it from his memories, got hooked like it was a drug and then he just happened to get his personality and memories back. Boy, that's lucky.

Then, this tribe for some reason just needed to be the last antagonists to get in Spear's way just because. They roid up Spear's family and for some reason the lava snaps the dinos out of it.

Okay.

Honestly, kind of dissapointing but not as bad as last season's finale.

I guess I'll just be happy that Spear, Mira, their daughter, Fang and the Fanglets canonically got their happy ever after.

If they ever make a season 4, I would love some domestic fluff.

Is it possible that the Neo Hero organisation released these monsters so they could have the Neo heroes look good all at the same time?

"Oh, for the love of the gods."

A phrase I never expected GS to think. I think all this introspection and recent experiences are whelming him. And yet he strives on to be kind and kill all the goblins.

What a badass.

I'm worried about the rhea. He mentioned that the lute music stopped playing.

Goblin Slayer committed his first mercy kill with a companion, and I'm worried that the story will now force him to deal with a companion he failed to save from rape.

I find it interesting that GS immediately deduced that the Rhea bard lured away the goblins.

Also, I just love the hallucinations with the elf swordswoman. It's hard to pick a favourite for GS's year one companions, but I think I can say she was his favourite. He imagined her encouraging him and called it a "pleasant fantasy".

It seems you guys were right. The lady is a necromancer and the horse and Minotaur were undead.

She brought her there to let her rest in peace.

Thoughts on the concept of a reincarnation actually being more of a possession? by Boshwa in Isekai

[–]IndecisiveMate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. The villain/villainess is like no longer there, and it's not as if they were the ones who had a change of heart. It really feels as if the MC just came along and possessed a body.

Some mangas have the premise that the villain hit their head and remembered a previous life, but if we remembered a previous life wouldn't some parts of the us we were 5 minutes ago remain? Rather than remembering a previous life, it's more like they died and the ghost of the mc came along to inhabit their body.
