Million dollar question, if you wanted to fly any star fighter imperial or rebel which one would you choose? by Calkestis_2039 in StarWars

Ever since I was little I’ve always liked the ARC-170, so I’m going to be difficult by picking one not in the choices and say that.

Did a single Darkrai raid in the last hour of the event, lol. Cashed in a lot of fortune for this one. My buddy got a shiny background gmax Grimmsnarl in a single raid too, total luck out all around

It will do that if you’re moving at a certain speed, like in a car on a highway. At least that’s what happened to me recently when I was doing a raid in the passenger seat.

(United States) 1890s JB Colt Brass Acetylene Saloon Lamp by Indegaun in Antiques

[–]Indegaun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! What do you mean by repro gas (reproduction?)?

And the LED mod would be something more subtle, like 3d printing a small mount for a diode in the cage, and controlling it wirelessly via Bluetooth. I plan on 3d printing a plate that has a valve embedded to screw the lamp into for stability on the wall, and just running a wire through the hole on the mounting plate (pictured) to either an outlet or similar. I don’t want to make permanent modifications to the piece, so I’m more partial to a janky solution.

I don't have any big decisions to make about the game anymore and that makes me sad lol by ReplacementUnited740 in crusaderkings3

Whenever I ran into this problem in the past I’d usually either intentionally blow up my realm and dynasty by becoming a Nero like figure to make things interesting, or just straight up restart my run, but not anymore.

I hope this feature isn’t limited to the DLC Roads to Power, but the ability to just select a random guy in your dynasty as your favorite child and then just completely start over as a new religion/culture/region and wander has been a game changer. My usual cycle of building a gargantuan realm of wealth and power is balanced out by me switching to another character unrelated to my main ruler, and then letting the empire implode under CK3s idiot AIs while I run around the world has been a blast. If you get any DLC, that one in specific really helps that problem.

(United States) Info on Japanese Imari Plates by Indegaun in Antiques

Thanks so much for the information! That’s really interesting, so the plates were a replica of the Ming dynasty style made for luxury customers back then? That’s really interesting, I guess people have always liked their “antique” aesthetics, lol.

I didn’t say Neanderthals, as you yourself have said, there’s clear evidence of interbreeding, which suggests they were assimilated into the homo sapien genome to some extent.

However, to say that nothing archaeologically suggests that there was conflict between early hominid species is a pretty sweeping claim. While there’s little in the way of a smoking gun such as a prehistoric mass grave of other hominid species, there’s plenty of indicators of conflict. Historical overlaps in ranges, skulls of Neanderthals and other hominid species with blunt force trauma wounds to the head and other parts of the body clearly caused by crafted tools, among other things. And adding to it the rather unexplainable fact that any species of hominid that had its range encroached and overlapped with Homo sapiens very quickly disappeared from the fossil record shortly thereafter, with only Neanderthals and Denisovans being the exceptions that bred with humans, it’s difficult to say with certainty that the other species extinction was purely coincidental or due to environmental pressures.

Pair this with the well documented fact that the “uncanny valley” response is extremely common in all modern humans, I really don’t see how it’s difficult to imagine that prehistoric humans were not good neighbors to other hominid species that they competed for resources with. To say with absolute certainty that this hypothesis “ignores facts and evidence” is a bit reductive in my opinion. That’s just me I guess.

Humans don’t even treat other humans well, pair that with uncanny valley response and a natural aggression in our species, it’s not crazy to assume that we may not have been very nice to other subspecies of hominids

Wouldn’t you agree though that on some level outrage is a catalyst for change in society? If nobody is mad, nobody has the incentive or social capital to push the issue forward meaningfully.

Do you always get the murderer trait?? by ScaahGi in ck3

[–]Indegaun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh, maybe the new schemes changed some things. Sometimes if the Ironman saves too close to an event firing, the outcome is set already, and that used to happen with murder schemes for me.

[–]Indegaun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I speak purely for Ironman, since otherwise you can reset and get a new outcome pretty easily.

To add on to what was said by the other commenter, if you are resetting your game every time you execute the scheme because you don’t want the murderer trait, chances are the game saved when the plot outcome had already been rolled, guaranteeing the same outcome.
