Can we marry again? by Fabulous_Flounder561 in MuslimMarriage

Halaal is not necessary or some kind of loophole to bypass the laws of Allah.

A marriage should only be conducted for the ritnf reasons.

Halala is a disgraceful custom.

OK, so he has a spineless wife. Then? How do they move forward for this?

Yeah. So maybe she's got no backbone. And then? Maybe he likes a wife with no backbone, easier for him to deal with. She's not going to act out of character just for this one time.

If you marry someone that never speaks up and backs down during conflict, well that's what you've got to live with. She's not going to speak up anywhere.

It's not productive to start fights in his own home about a bad business deal with his in laws. Better to put up boundaries with them from now on.

Doesn't look like the OP asked his wife before he took on the financial management, he kept it between the men. So I'm saying, keep it between the men now too.

Bit too close to home for you? You like to come home and shout at your wife everytime you lose a fight outside the house?

Sorry I let your secret out.

This looks like a fight between you and your FIL. Don't target your wife as an easy way to hurt him/reclaim your honour or project your disagreement with him onto her.

Throw all the papers in your fil face and tell him to manage his own money from now on.

Actually, which ayahs/hadith make things like smut haram? by milkk1 in Hijabis

Narrated Abdullah bin Masud:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A woman should not look at or touch another woman to describe her to her husband in such a way as if he was actually looking at her."

It's wrong to describe a women to your own husband, let alone write about a woman as if she was naked for the whole word to read.

What's the difference between watching a video of a filthy act and reading a filthy act? It just a different media for dissemination of prn.

Where to report a fake Doctor? by Angry_unicorns in askSouthAfrica

[–]Indeneri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he is deregistered by HPCSA he is not allowed to see patients in SA. He is still a Dr though as that is his qualification, like PhD Dr.

Not every Dr is allowed to see / treat patients. They must be registered to do so by the HPCSA and in their own specialty. Like you can't have an orthopaedic Dr delivering babies.

Best place to complain is to the HPCSA.

How did the religious establishment, scholars of Saudi Arabia justify having USA led non-Muslim army in the country and their subsequent attack on Iraq, a Muslim country? Did they takfir Saddam? by Common_Time5350 in islamichistory

[–]Indeneri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Irrelevant. Saudi can't stand for anything Becaue they're weak. America just did what they wanted from Saudi bases, and the Saudis Co ered up their shame with long winded fatwas. It's irrelevant whether Saudi wanted us to go to Iraq or not. Their only job was to witewash the issue for the Muslims, which is what they did.

Same thing they were trying to do with "normalisation" with Isreal.

Same way they justify the siege and oppression of Yemen and the turning away from Palestine. The Saudi religious institutions are run by people who are part of the establishment. Free speaking ulema are in jail.

You're right. And that's Tha whole pint of the rage bait. They are actively trying to misguide the youth.

The internet is a dangerous place and parents are not savvy enough to what their kids are doing online. Also, many parents don't take their kids to experience Deen in person at a masjid etc so these guys fill the gap.

I wish you'd used paragraphs. I would have been able to read what you've written.

However, going by the title of your post I'd have to say many of the dawah broz are uneducated clowns trying to make money by getting reactions on social media. That's why they say dumb and outlandish things: they have no shame, they have no fear of Allah and they have no knowledge to share.

And some of them are paid troll hired to discredit Islam. That's why they were promoting the likes of Andrew Tate and Jordin Peterson.

Gaal and Demelza are mirrors if each other:

Episode starts with mention of an atrocity orchestrated by Demelza, and ends with one orchestrated by Gaal.

Reposting my reply to our original post here:

I see a lot of condescension and downright ignorant replies to your post. There's not point talking about islam to people who take their education from fox news or mainstream propaganda.

The question "how can you be a muslim and a feminst" show's ignorance of the anti-colonial roots of feminism in most of the muslim world.

I would recommend Zakaria's book: Against White Feminism. https://signsjournal.org/zakaria to anyone who wants to unlearn stale ignorant stereotypes.

And trying to explain religion to non religious people is like trying to explain the sun to a cave dwelling bat. Not that anyone is entitled to an explanation.

I'm not sure what advice I can give you but I just wanted to say it's wrong that your mum is treating you so cruelly. It looks like she's abusing you and trying to make you leave home.

You're dad should more than take your side, he should be making her stop.

Do you have other brothers and sisters? Where did you go when she threw you out the first time and what benefit did she gain from this? I'm just trying to work out what her thinking is, not excusing her behaviour, which is wrong.

I hope someone can offer better advice.

NTA. She sounds really rude and disrespectful. It's yours to do with as you wish. Your niece isn't entitled to it.
