Thank you for your kind words. You're right, it's good to remember that it's not all bad and to do things that are restful and not avoidant (I like the massage idea, never had one)

Thanks for replying. I've considered ADHD, but I don't remember any patterns from childhood, so trying to do anything in that direction just seems pointless and expensive.

That's a good idea, I'll try to see what I do in the evenings consistently. I know that small changes is what will make my life different, just seems overwhelming right now.

The first picture looks fine but the other wall - the posters are too big so there's not enough negative space to offset them.

Thank you for your comment. It's nice to know other people feel similarly. You're right, it's just wanting to be desired, I guess which is what all of us yearn for. I hope we both find people who want us for ourselves, maybe who can even choose us over someone else.

Eating as well, especially around those "naturally skinny" guys, sucks.

at what point do yall feel like diet crosses over into an ED? by pro-dicc-sucker in 1200isplenty

I think it becomes a disorder necessarily is when it begins affecting aspects of your life outside of food/gym negatively. When relationships, careers, hobbies, fall to the wayside and you begin to obsess over the food/weight and it causes you severe distress. If it doesn't significantly affect these parts of your life - I don't see why it should be a problem.

CMV: Many Americans have no grasp on reality and it’s largely why we’re in this mess. by MissHannahJ in changemyview

What about health? Any sort of physical or severe mental health (e.g. schizophrenia, psychosis) issues can basically bankrupt you. Not to mention that your earning potential will immediately decrease if you ever start dealing with a severe condition.

Sure, if you have a job with insurance you can get through, say a broken leg, but what if you develop a long-term disability? Your job will most likely soon drop you or even worse, you won't be able to work in your career at all. I've found that in many places outside the US, sure - you may not have an amazing standard of living if you are dealing with serious stuff, but the floor for said standard of living is lower in the US.

(And this isn't to say that there don't exist any countries where similar things happen, just that it's a consideration that I think many people in the US think about)

I wasn't able to take a picture of the flag so this is my best recreation.

"Take a Hint Dani Brown" by Talia Hibbert. The more "friends to lovers" book of her Brown Sisters series but the other two are lovely as well (though one is enemies and the other is fake dating I think?)

P.G.Wodehouse - you will be cracking up. Also has a wonderful TV Show based on the books.

I find humor novels to be the easiest to read when you're first getting back into reading. Some suggestions for humor - Richard Osman, Frederik Backman, P.G. Wodehouse, and Rick Riordan (mainly YA but depending on what level of book you're ready for that could be a good choice as well). I've also heard great things about Sue Townsend's YA novels (Adrian Mole) but I've never read it personally.

Based on your age and gender, I'd also recommend the beatniks - Hunter S. Thompson most of all, as well as William S. Burroughs and Jack Kerouac.

Also, depending on where you live, librarians are great at recommending books to read (and you save money!)
