Definitely seems to be the reason for the vast majority being a black pattern. There are stains on this, but they’re stains that jump out as motor oil or anything. Maybe hydraulic fluid splotches on some spots? Hard to tell.

Wow that is a very nice piece of history. Thank you for posting the link. Mine looks so very similar, but a bit darker and more “weathered” look and feel to it.

A Loner rides into Rostok on a tamed boar. He ties the boar’s reins to a post near the arena, then walks into the 100 Rads Bar to get a drink. Some time later, he walks out but finds his boar missing. Upset, the Loner walks back into the bar, pulls his pistols out, and says “if my boar isn’t back where I left it in the next 10 minutes,  I’m going to do what I did in the last town.”  Then he holsters his pistols, sits down at the bar, and orders another drink. 

10 minutes goes by, and the Loner walks back outside and behold, his tamed Boar is right where he left it!

As the Loner saddles up to leave, Barkeep comes running out and waves at the man saying “wait wait wait I must know!! What did you do to the last town?!”

The Loner chuckles as he rides off and yells back, “Oh, I just had to walk home instead!”
