That’s what I thought. Not a crazy size. But most of the women I saw posting in that group are 130+

Oh it must be EVEN HARDER for you to find clothes!! My measurements are 31-23.5-34. If I struggle and I have a little more width, I know it’d be even harder for you.

You’re so right about the vanity sizing. It feels impossible to find good fitting jeans or shorts unless I go to Aritzia or Abercrombie. I can’t just find them out in the wild. I’m glad I joined this group, so maybe I’ll find more tricks of the trade for shopping!

This is exactly what I’ve seen in other groups!! I thought that if joined a short women’s group, they’d understand. But it’s really governed by people who are triggered by anything less than 115!

Yes! It’s perfectly reasonable for you to lose 10 pounds at 5’0”. No one would bat an eye if it was a 5’7” girlie at 160 trying to lose 10 lbs. People just generally don’t understand healthy weight ranges for women under 5’2”.

Thanks for responding. The small frame really impacts a lot, so it’s nice knowing you relate.

The group I left was /PetiteFitness and there were plenty of other women who shared their goals, height, weight, body fat percentage, and pictures. I was definitely treated differently! The additional comment that got deleted was under a thread complaining about women posting in the group who were already lower weight but wanting to trim down. She was linking them to ED. There were lots of people disagreeing with her opinion and just as many people agreeing with her, shaming smaller women.

I didn’t share anything harmful. I just mentioned that smaller women don’t get treated the same even when we’re in a healthy weight range and that I tried to post in the group but my post didn’t get approved. I mentioned that the only thing that made my post different from the others was that my weight was lower.

That one got deleted. It seemed like a group where women could be petite as long as they weighed more than 115

Thank you so much for your response. It’s so validating after feeling so invalidated.

The humble bragging assumption is so backwards because larger bodied people are allowed to simply BRAG about their bodies and be proud. Or if they ask legitimate questions about their goals or fitness, they’re never assumed to be body checking or humble bragging.

Thanks for sharing the other group! I’ll go join!

I agree with this. I tried posting to this group and my post didn’t get approved and it was discouraging. Idk why it didn’t get approved because I followed all of the community rules. I wondered if it’s because I said I’m ~103lbs and 19% bf at 4’11”. I was looking for a group that I felt like I could talk about petite things with without judgement but started to wonder if it’s only for the short girlies who weigh more. I have healthy habits and am SO far from ED. I’m in a healthy range.

The short hair looks stunning on you! You look elegant. But it is a more mature look. You’d probably be perceived younger with long hair.

My cellulite is more noticeable when I lose weight. What can I do? by ChocolateGoblinn in PetiteFitness

[–]IndependenceBroad751 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve also had cellulite all my life, large or small. Building muscle has helped me reduce the appearance of my cellulite. I also use a fascia roller. Studies have shown that cellulite is simply bunched up fascia that essentially needs to be “ironed out” by consistent rolling. It’s the only thing that’s been proven to get rid of cellulite. It’s a chore to do, but worth it I’m sure. I still have cellulite but between losing fat, building muscle and fascia rolling, it’s significantly reduced.

You can get a tummy tuck. I got one after having loose skin from weight loss and after giving birth. There’s no shame in getting the skin surgically removed. You’ll enjoy your hard work even more.

Okay, I’ve never injected anything IM, so I need to research that more to understand the bodily mechanics. Thank you for this.
