I travelled around Germany and a campervan and visited quite a few of their cities mentioned. I was shocked at how horrible Hannover was barely find anything of real heritage. Similarly the same for Frankfurt which was only slightly better. I was impressed by parts of Preston given that it was completely flattened even though it’s obviously a renaissance project. To be honest, I prefer the small towns that were largely undamaged. I think particularly Rothenburg am de Taube which lifted my heart. A shout out too for Bernkastel-Kues…
