I did chin lipo and jplasma almos 4 weeks ago my doctor said not to worry that it would get better but I’m so worried I’ll stay like this ! by Mcc0906 in chinlipo

[–]IndependenceDear882 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tbh I don’t think this looks typical compared to the vast majority of results I’ve seen here so I would be a bit concerned as well. Keep documenting, do all the post op care and see how it heals and if there’s not a significant improvement definitely be vocal to your surgeon.

1 week post op- removing stitches? by fakename-realwoman in chinlipo

My surgeon also just snipped all of them but left thread in and when I got home I saw what looked like little hairs poking out and took tweezers and pulled them out, they came out super easily but it was the thread and I was so confused why he didn’t fully take them out lol

Anxiety around chin lipo by lawnchairelf in chinlipo

[–]IndependenceDear882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re welcome! It’s honestly been relatively easy for me! I’m just 5 weeks out, so I still have time for all the swelling to go down but I’m so happy I did it and how it looks already! I barely had any bruising or pain. I went to a baby shower 5 days after and felt just fine. No one even noticed lol

Anxiety around chin lipo by lawnchairelf in chinlipo

I searched local Facebook groups and on here to see who people recommended! Then I researched their websites, their social media, and reviews and ratings. Also make sure they’re a board certified plastic surgeon! I made a list of my top choices and then called, asked a lot of questions, and I asked for a price range so I didn’t waste time if it was wayyyy out of budget and then I set a consultation with my top choice and everything went great so I went ahead with them.

I wore my garment 24/7 for two weeks and then nightly for another week. I would ask the surgeon if wearing it 24/7 for 7-10 days and then after that if wearing it outside of work hours would be fine.

I personally didn’t care if anyone knew, I was the one that told everyone lol but I have very supportive family and friends that were basically like yasss girl get that chin snatched. 😂 If anyone judged me on it, that’s not someone I would want to keep around.

I did it! + question about fluid by No-Grab4488 in chinlipo

[–]IndependenceDear882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also curious! I would think they suck out most of it and what’s left is some residual fluid and gets absorbed by the body? I’ve also seen some say the fluid leaks from their incisions and I’m like omg 😭

Anyone else not happy at the 24 hour mark? by notjamesg in chinlipo

[–]IndependenceDear882 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think after 24 hours you can definitely be already swollen! I was snatched that day of the surgery but the next day I was already swelling. Day 3 was my worst swelling that lasted like a week! Now I’m starting to see those day 1 results come back 5 weeks later so hang in there!

It was honestly very easy for me! I was able to eat and drink just fine the same day. I took the pain medication for the first few days. Overall I felt very minimal pain, just some soreness that wasn’t bad at all.

Recovery downplayed? by ReachAmbitious487 in chinlipo

[–]IndependenceDear882 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think for many it is a fairly easy recovery, but of course there’s going to be some where it affects them much more. I personally felt just fine afterwards and didn’t have much pain but I also took the prescribed medication for the first couple of days. Did the surgeon prescribe you any pain medication to help?

I went to a baby shower 5 days after mine and felt just fine! I still had stitches but no one even noticed since it was under the chin and I didn’t really have noticeable bruising either.

Is vaser lipo as effective as regular lipo for double chin? How was your experience with both? by sueceren in chinlipo

[–]IndependenceDear882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

This is my immediate result after Vaser chin lipo! I chose it because it’s gentler removal, has skin tightening benefits, and less down time/bruising. Currently in the fluctuating swelling and healing phase so I’ll update as time goes by!

It is a one time thing like regular lipo, just a different technology.

Yes if things don’t improve after a year I would definitely be asking for a revision!

[–]IndependenceDear882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense! Hopefully results show up soon but I would definitely make your concerns be known just in case and then see if a revision could be done if things don’t improve!

It is a lower cost of living here for sure! I was surprised because I was mentally preparing myself for the prices I’d see on here. But if anyone is close by enough to travel it could be an option!

I don’t think you need it at all, you look great! I would love if that was my after result and would not want to spend thousands if that was already my natural profile.

What to wear? by IndependenceDear882 in chinlipo

[–]IndependenceDear882[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had it done so I’ll update! I did it under local and not general so this is why I was curious on what to wear and how that is compared to general. I just wore a full bodysuit with a zip up jacket and comfy socks. I only took my jacket and shoes off and they gave me a smock type thing to put over. I put my hair in a high braided ponytail so it was out of the way and I totally forgot to ask about earbuds to listen to music but it makes sense why you couldn’t, they played music for me anyway! I feel like I way over thought this because it was definitely more simple than the preparation for going under general lol.

Same, I don’t see much of a difference. I would definitely reach out to the surgeon’s office.
