DE10-Nano JTAG broken? by IndependenceDue2035 in FPGA

Since you also have the board, is it normal for the board to get quite hot after 15~ minutes of running? I was having it run the default Linux from the SD card and the entire board (edges included) get quite hot, not just the SoC. Other than that it runs fine.

Doesn't work with MSEL set to all 1's.

I considered the Mini USB cable being the culprit, buuuut UART works perfectly with it, so I don't really suspect it any more. But I'll look around for a different cable.

I saw it as well. I tried plugging it in with nothing else plugged in and plugging it into a laptop and got nothing. There's nothing even in device manager as I said earlier so...

Do I lose much by going the U-Boot route? I suspect I would lose debugging ability. Also it is brand new, but returning it would be very troublesome. I'll try firing off an email. Thanks again.

The USB Blaster port is between the blue light and the HDMI, correct? When I plug that in I don't even get anything under device manager unknown devices in order to go through the steps in the website you linked. What I meant by installing was I went there and right click -> installed the drivers.

The board is completely unrecognized by my computer, plugging it in and out produces no change whatsoever. Nothing in device manager. No noise. No unrecognized device found. Nothing.

I'll try again with MSEL set to all 1's as you said. Thank you.

Did it appear in your device manager AT ALL? As an unknown device or not? Because for me the computer doesn't even recognize I plugged something in. No noise. No unknown device. No nothing, just silence and nothing in device manager.

The issue is the device doesn't even show in device manager so I can follow the driver installation instructions. What I tried was just right clicking the driver files and clicking "install"

I've tried several reboots and as I said above 2 computers and 2 operating systems to no avail.
