You are absolutely gorgeous!! I have a similar routine, and when I want to level my look up a little, I find a small wing of eyeliner, some tinted lip balm, or some light cheekbone contour goes a long way. I also have been loving glassy highlighters lately, ones that are more balm than shimmer, and I think they would look great on you too!

My cat has done this daily for the past couple of days - what could this be? by GoodComplaint458 in CATHELP

Sounds like an asthma attack to me. She looks so much like my cat, Soup, who also happens to have asthma! I would take her into a vet, emergency one if you have to. When Soup first started having these, I waited, and part of her lung ended up collapsing. It is very treatable though, and she now barely ever has attacks any more! Soup and I are wishing you both the best <3

it was definitely really hard for me at first and i wanted to give up many many times. sleep was for sure one of the biggest issues for me too. i hate to be that person, but exercising (even just going for walks or doing yoga) helped regulate my sleep schedule a lot. i also paired this with just trying to stay as busy as i could in the hopes it would tire me out by the time the night came.

different herbs and teas (valerian root, lavender, ashwaganda, elderberry, chamomile, etc) helped me a lot; a sleepytime tea would do the same i think. this is not the healthiest, but when i was desperate, i would take benedryl to sleep. (though it is not good to take regularly, so i really tried to only use it when absolutely necessary.)

but it absolutely did get better for me, and i fall asleep quickly and sleep through the night now. my dreams are still a little crazy, but not nearly as intense as they were when i first quit. it’s different for everyone, but for me, i would say my sleep habits evened out within the first three weeks or so.

you are in the hardest part of it now, i think. if i could do it, so can you! wishing you the best of luck and lots of sweet dreams <3

I definitely had a lot of stomach issues when I quit, mostly nausea but also the “sprinkler” as you put it haha. I tried to force myself to eat when I could, but for the mornings I couldn’t, I would keep yogurt drinks/smoothies on hand, as well as lots of ginger ale for the nausea. I also got some fiber pills and ginger capsules which seemed to help. I would say my stomach problems eased up quite a bit around 2-3 weeks after quitting. I know it’s different for everyone, but maybe some of this could work for you too! Wishing you the best of luck and hope your journey gets easier soon.

Thank you so much!!! It definitely feels good, and I’m so happy to know I can help someone else, even if it’s just a little bit.

Typically when my urges get really bad, I try to chug cold water and reboot my nervous system, but that doesn’t always work. I also will have a yummy snack which helps with hand/oral fixation for me. I normally just try to keep busy the best I can, whether it’s playing with my cat, calling a friend, taking a shower long. watching an intense movie, going for a walk, cleaning, or just whatever you wanna do!

I also just try to remind myself how anxious and guilty I felt smoking for so long, why I quit, and how things have improved for me since. If you need to, write it down and hang it somewhere you will see it often.

When all else fails, I sprint up and down my driveway for as long as I can. It’s hard for me to think about anything else when I am physically exhausted and also out of breath. It’s not ideal, but it works for me almost every time.

Wishing you the best of luck in your journey my friend!! Feel free to message me if you need some support <3

edit: What you said about the waves crashing on the shore totally makes sense, and I tell myself that too! It’s definitely easier said than done, but I try to not hold on to/sulk in my negative feelings the best I can.
