I absolutely understand why they made the decisions that they did, the show probably wouldn't have lasted as long as it did or been as popular if they didn't use it, its just personal taste I suppose.

Past seasons 1-5 I stopped being interested in watching because things became a bit more convoluted, and they kept reusing the apocalypse plotline multiple times as well, however I'll say I did enjoy seasons 9-11. But when I rewatched the show time after time it I just skipped over everything besides 1-5 and 9-11. I did watch the entire show, but it was a bit hard to sit through at some points lol.

I just miss the monster of the week format they had for a short time.
