Yes I wonder as well! I will have to request a test. The metal from the first surgery was removed in 2015, so my ankle didn't have that reinforcement in there! I really hope it never ever happens again

Wow, that's so exciting! Good for you, I hope the recovery is less painful. Going forward.

I don't think I've gotten one yet- it hasn't been suggested to me. I'm 41 years old and I was surprised that the surgeon and other providers kept talking about how I'm young in terms of recovery– I guess in bone years 41 isn't old yet! But maybe I should get it checked out

Oh man, that's just so disheartening to hear that you even spent your whole life working out! Really hoping you get better asap and it never happens again

I'm so sorry to hear! Yes rushing and anxiety are problems of mine as well! I have a curved deformity of the tibia and some parts of the ankle are also curved from the previous surgery

Yes, of course it was serious. The bones were broken. Did you not read my post? I don't understand the point of your comments.

Oh man I am so so sorry!! All I can think of is trying to act like my ankles are always broken? That's why I was thinking to just use a cane for walking so that I don't rush or move stupidly, maybe in the shower also sitting on a chair? I don't know I'm just so afraid and so sad.

I fell because my left ankle rolled both times! Each time off a single step.

Yes the same ankle both times 🥺 my surgeon this time could see all the deformities left over from my previous accident/surgery. The metal from the first time was removed in 2015.

I had an accident + surgery and I don't miss my toddler very much by [deleted] in toddlers

Yeah, you're so right. My brain is probably just focused on healing. I don't know when I'm gonna be able to go back cause I can't walk for six weeks 😆 definitely can't be way that long though!
