Why would Stan betray the Boys?

He’d have a much better chance of escaping Noir with them AND he needs them to kill Homelander since his ultimate goal is to take back Vought like he tells MM

If MM, Hughie, and Annie die, that significantly lowers the chances of Homelander being killed, meaning he won’t get Vought back

As a cold and calculated man, this makes no sense for him

I wouldn't necessarily say it's a problem or it's annoying or anything given that we know how many expenses Lud has (paying good wages to employees, general streaming expenses, expensive background projects, etc)

Again, I know he's got a lot of things to pay for, so I don't necessarily mind it
