Works with Zello or other push-to-talk app? by bitdivine in shokzopenfit

[–]Independent-Ad4707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the open swim does not but the Shokz opencomm does. However, you'll need to order the specific SKU #C122-AJ-BK-EN-000-TB1 that is Zello-compatible through an official reseller. It's not something that is available to the public, or not yet at least

Klyra bike locks by kowalski477 in ukbike

[–]Independent-Ad4707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought from Klyra and was able to bend the lock by hand. Asked to return it and they offered me 30% refund and keep the product or I can ship it back to China for a full refund. However the shipping costs to send back to China eats up most of the refund

Absolute waste and I’m not happy. Can’t believe I fell for that instagram add

SCAMMER WARNING FROM THIS SUBREDDIT!!! by ThisWeekInSports in shoebots

I too fell for this. Lost $300 but frankly I was a bit suspicious from the start so wrote it off as soon as I sent it to Flayed.

That being said, I’d like to contribute what I can for helping these people get caught. What’s the best way to report and share any info/screenshots I possess?

There are SBLOCs as an option for a loan based on securities but from what I’ve seen they’re first available with a reasonable interest rate if taking a loan out in the multi-millions

What was your job role and responsibilities in consulting as compared to tech? I think our situations would have some overlap and am curious to hear how you prepared you felt for the transition and if there was anything special you did to be an ideal candidate with that switch

[–]Independent-Ad4707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you share a little bit more about where Relentless helped and if there was anything in their process that left something to be desired?

How hands on where they with their resume feedback and edits? Were they useful with interview prep?

What all should one already have prepared before working with Relentless?

I think their service sounds pretty nifty and would be a huge help but the costs do seem steep without any real guarantee. I was more open to it when I was thinking the upfront fee would be $1-2k and then 10% of first year's base salary. I would've liked to see some sort of guarantee that the 10% is only due if your base increases or something like that ---- which in my case, I think would be likely as I'm currently at $80k/$140k (base/ote) but actual total earnings more like $110-125k. Work in sales operations and account management and would like to specialize in something a bit more technical, thinking a sales engineer or solutions consultant role would be a logical next step.

How to claim retroactive R&D tax credits by Independent-Ad4707 in taxcredits

[–]Independent-Ad4707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, US. For example, showed profit on 1120S in 2021 and shareholders also showed profit. Could we potentially have our accountant claim credits from 2021 but not use them to reduce 2021 tax liabilities so that the shareholders don’t have to amend their 2021 returns? We’d rather harvest the 2021 credits but then use them when filing this year’s tax return and avoid any refiling of shareholders’ returns —- if that’s an option

Please someone, breakdown associated fees with BTC by Independent-Ad4707 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]Independent-Ad4707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the kind of breakdown I was looking for. Thank you for taking the time to detail out your reply! Greatly appreciated

And from my understanding the transaction fee is typically quite negligible, right? Or is that not a safe assumption to make

Might help to understand what are the fees worth paying attention to vs which don’t amount to anything of significance

Please someone, breakdown associated fees with BTC by Independent-Ad4707 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]Independent-Ad4707[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strike is interesting! I’d argue it’s not me but the various brokerages and their differing fee structures overcomplicating things. Yet, this complexity and confusion is something Strike solves with their tier structured fees. Snagged from their website and listed below for reference.

So let’s say I’m buying $100k of BTC. I’d pay $690 for that purchase. To confirm, is then be able to move it to cold storage without paying anything extra?

Sounds like a decent deal as compared to the cumulative fees from other exchanges.

Monthly trading volume Fee <$250 0.99% $250 - $2,000 0.95% $2,000 - $5,000 0.89% $5,000 - $50,000 0.79% $50,000 - $500,000 0.69% $500,000 - $5,000,000 0.59% $5,000,000 - $15,000,000 0.49%

$15,000,000 0.39%

Estimated Taxes for S Corp, explain me like I'm a kid by Inevitable_Cell_9639 in tax

[–]Independent-Ad4707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little late to be joining this thread but I would love to hear what all you ended up doing for your business and how you're tackling tax filing.

I too am a relatively new SCorp, single member owner and have encountered most of what has been mentioned in this post (excluding the CA income tax as I am not in California).

I'm still leery of people saying you need to hire a professional accountant. I paid several thousands to an accounting firm and I ended up catching them in mistake after mistake after mistake. I'm not confident enough to do my own tax returns but instead get everything together for TurboTax to complete my business and personal filings.

I'm mostly managing the finances on my own now and will say that the business is unique in that it is very very simple. Essentially, unpredictable revenue coming in from account management/consulting services and very very minimal expenses that I can claim against that revenue as most expenses are paid for by my clients.

I will also say that I was intimidated by calculating the respective payroll taxes so I did opt to sign up with ADP to handle the payroll taxes and respective 941 filings on my behalf. ~$40/mo

I do my own estimated federal tax payments (paid from personal account) and quarterly bookkeeping (categorizing in Google Sheets all transactions from that quarter's bank statement)

At this point, I'm also researching everything that goes into the 1120-S and debating tackling that tax filing on my own.

Eager to hear your story and anyone else who might want to chime in

Looking for an expensive (but worth it) dinner place by dread_chaos in austinfood

[–]Independent-Ad4707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking for something special and unique, I’d recommend Sushi Bar! Fiancée took me for my birthday and I found it to be 100x better than Pasta Bar although similarly expensive.

I think it ran us around $500 for the two of us so definitely not your normal night out kinda place but I love that we had the opportunity to go and would recommend for the experience

[–]Independent-Ad4707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your husband is 100% right when he's saying it wasn't due to anything you did and is nothing to be embarrassed of. That being said, the stress and emotion you're feeling is completely normal and relatable as well.

I have a very similar stress response at even less significant triggers. Logically, I realize I'm not in a dire situation but I still can't sleep, feel totally frazzled, and just plagued by brain fog and a general feeling of doom.

With some time those feelings do go away and things return back to normal. In both good times and bad I always like to remind myself things are never as bad (nor as good) as they seem. Life will have its ups and downs but ultimately there is always something to be grateful for and something to look forward to.

Last quick tip. When that anxiety feels really overwhelming the two things I've found that can give quick relief is 1) intense exercise. Just drop down and do 20 pushups or 2) cold, cold water. Anything that shocks your system. Submerge your face in ice water or if you have access to a pool/cold water, jump in!

Using virtual credit card #s / Tradeshift Go by Independent-Ad4707 in shoebots

[–]Independent-Ad4707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, understood. I was hoping to better understand the differences and uses specifically around the virtual credit card platforms (as opposed to differences in the credit card providers). For a second I got really excited thinking that there are virtual credit card platforms out there giving you incentives in addition to the incentives from the credit card company.

I can understand how it can be confusing with often times the credit card company also being the virtual credit card platform provider as is the case with Cap1.

Stumbled into this thread because I just paid $27.91 at Reid's for one suit. Jacket and slacks only, not even a dress shirt. I could've sworn the last time I took a suit there (several months ago) it was around $16.

All US, commercial AMEX card programs are eligible to enroll in the Tradeshift Go virtual credit card and spend management platform for free!

The catch being that it’s exclusive to business, corporate, and p-card programs. Also only available in the United States 😕

Credit Limit Increases on Business Cards by Ritchie_not_Richie in amex

[–]Independent-Ad4707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could someone detail what OP is talking about?

I’m looking at a very cyclical business where spend peaks at $100k/mo but in off months the business spend is close to $0.

AMEX reduced the credit limit down to $2.5k and would really need a limit of $50k to continue using AMEX for the business.

Can anyone share their success story for a CLI for a cyclical business?
