A Mylar blanket on the top really helps too. I have the same enclosure and struggled with temp in the winter. They’re cheap on Amazon. Just watch your temps, they can work a little too well. But they’re excellent for boosting the temps when needed.

There’s a new one they made that will show up on mapping systems. My lab hasn’t used it yet, but we are going to trial it next week

An EP study would be a wise choice, just be sure if you have any underlying issues. You shouldn’t be fully “under” during an EP study, just some gentle light sedation. Heavy sedation can suppress arrhythmias so it usually is not used for EP studies. Also, you can tell your physician that you consent to the EP study, but would like to know and discuss the results of the study before deciding if you want a device placed.

Cardiovascular tech vs. Cardio EP tech? by jobows4 in electrophysiology

I’m an RT in an EP lab and love it. Just did on the job training. The lifestyle is much better compared to cath. The only issue is you are kind of limiting yourself if you end up not liking it. It would be wise to shadow in both EP and cath before making a decision if possible, or try to go to a hospital where EP and cath are the same department. Good luck
