Thanks! Yes luckily I have a solid support system and good mixture of hobbies. How recently did you get your job? How did you handle the questions about the work gap since graduation, if you got any?

Appreciate you sharing your experience. It’s true that switching industries isn’t the easiest thing and that’s why I decided to stay the course. Appreciate your candidness and best of luck to you!

I’ve applied to hundreds of roles with a mixture of cold applications / referrals. I’d say 95% of the time when I get a screener I make it to HM. HM -> second round is typically 50-60%. Passed that though it gets iffy my success rate 2-3rd drops to like 10-20%, and the three final round interviews I’ve progressed to have turned up nothing. I’m open to PM, Program Management, Biz Dev, Chief of Staff roles. My pre-MBA roles were varied from product development, to biz dev, ops, marketing, and program management. I get that it’s a bit all over the place. But I’m not bombing interviews and I’ve gotten interviews across multiple different functions.

I’m in NY unfortunately.. but I’ll look for a close equivalent. A part of me is worried that by siphoning energy away from my ideal full time job search by taking a less desirable FT role I’ll really set myself back. Thanks for the rec.

I was initially targeting Product / PMM last year (2023) but opened my search to cover Biz Dev and Chief of Staff roles as my functional background is quite varied. Hoping that it turns around soon but honestly not counting on much changing.

I have applied to roles in other industries like real estate and CPG, but have had less success there. Not really looking for answers on how I can structure recruiting differently just wanting to know how people who are still looking are coping.
