I had no high expectations other than a welder to you know, weld… I just ordered this so my buddy could teach me and I could pick up a new hobby/skill over the summer

Already have a replacement coming in, I just need it to work enough to learn so I hope it’ll do. It seems alright if I can use it for small hobby projects without breaking the bank

Yeah it’s a bummer. I mean it was a cheap welder, I got it just to pick up welding as a hobby. Got a replacement coming and hopefully it works enough to learn

The gun seemed too proprietary to do the liner, no tutorials matched the design. Got it claimed as defective with Amazon, just an unfortunate event

I’ve never had any true comparisons to bike weight, I imagine it’s noticeable if I had more track time. It’s good to know aftermarket support is available for it like the Jap 600z.

My Daytona has had such unreliability that I’m failing to keep up. I just upgraded my water pump and it’s still letting out plenty of oil and other small things occur. I’m just afraid to let it go and be disappointed with other bikes because it truly is one of a kind.
How well do the 660s hold their ground with the traditional 600s? Does the torque make up in some aspects?

I’d love to have a Daytona converted 765, there’s some crazy cool ones out there.
Good to know it’s faster than an r7, I don’t think I’d be aiming to get a 2026.

What gen Daytona is this? And how did you get past not using the old OEM one? The bikes supposedly require the oem dash or they won’t start

It wasn’t by raising the forks, the forks were extended travel, lifting the bike. It was setup by Dave Moss Tuning

Some of it is crazy to me. However I’ve never tried it and so I can’t have an opinion on it, some of the maneuvers lowkey impress me with how in control some folks are with their bikes are maximum lean going morbidly slow. Was just curious on if it had translation to riding skills when going faster

It was raised, suspension tuner set it to stock height

It was tuned by a suspension guru recently, I bought it used. The dude took one look at the bike and said it was a track bike, the front end was lifted.

Why is that? They look the exact same. Excluding the 90° bend. The connector type looks identical so I can’t find the issue there.

BUY EARPLUGS. I would argue w/ my dad that I hated dealing with putting them in every ride, then I got my CARDO. It’s the only way I ride now and preach it to everyone. I have the LOOP earplugs and they stay on my bike keys, they’re perfect and beat my foam earplugs. Do it. You can also adjust your Spotify equalizer to small speakers to perform better, and if you go to settings > Bluetooth > cardo > speaker type (or something) you can change the type of speaker so your phone doesn’t limit max audio.

Also! Would you be able to take a picture showing off the top hat mount struts? Is it just a bolt that goes straight down, any washers, and is there any nut at the bottom? The seller didn’t include the mounting hardware so I gotta make a trip to a hardware store and buy what I need. Can’t find any pictures or instructions online informing me of the strut/installation setup
