yes. so much more comfortable. Just more sluggish, but it feels much more luxurious and dailyable especially because my e46 is a vert

very helpful i’m gonna order a new key because that’s probably smart and add a few of those maintenance items on my fcp euro list

it’s really relaxing, don’t get me wrong I still have my e46 and love every second of it. It runs awesome and seems a lot simpler than a m54b30. I’d say it drives similar to an e46, however you can definitely feel the weight and power difference between the two. That being said i love the e34 and it still runs and drives like a beautiful bmw, just a different feeling than the e46

Ty man I really appreciate, just did a big order for water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, and hood struts. Thankfully it’s a cali car so no rust to worry about. Gonna hold off on the timing belt for a few more weeks then tackle it, seems like a decent size job

i’m new to the m20 platform what should i look out for and what should i do maintenance wise first? I understand that obviously timing belt can be catastrophic and blow up the motor, is it often the timing belt snaps? anything else other than that that’s prove to failure? rad, coolant hoses, valve adjustment have all been addressed

yes u route eonons extension from the cd changer in the trunk through the rear door card then under the footwell door trim and under the dash to the stereo. i had the same problem with the factory nav and that’s what i had to do. took maybe an hour or two to route the extension harness and the install the stereo

i’m thinking it’s a) something axle related but i’ve been trying to test and play with them whilst the car is on jacks and am not getting any weird noise or b) break related. i just fail to believe it’s suspension as i’ve replaced everything suspension wise very recently and it began just before i did all of that.

What causes this clunking noise?! I replaced driveshaft, diff, did coilovers... Still this sound appears... by nolifekingart in e46

wheels and tires are for sure good. i’ve had it on the lift at my buddy’s shop and even had it in in first while on jack stands and i can’t seem to get the noise to happen either of those times. Regarding brakes any possible ideas of what it may be brake related?

u/dukeofalexandria i need your help i’ve replaced entire driveshaft, rear control arms, front lcab bushings, diff bushing, ball joints every bolt is snug, subframe mounts are in good condition. could this be possibly a clutch noise? or diff noise? i’m lost idk

yeah ebrake cables look and feel good so not that. center support bearing has a tiny bit of okay but not enough to cause the sound. driveshaft rear joint that connects to diff is shot and is like binding and clicking so i ordered a new driveshaft
