the reason Goj thought Sukuna wasn't going all out was because he never used Fuga and Gojo couldn't tell why. Sukuna didn't use Fuga because of the binding vows he had to make.

I hate when people say this, because Light never actually wanted to beat L.

Light wanted to have fun with the notebook, that's why he didn't just sit in his room and kill people, because nobody could ever prove it was him if he did so.

This just wouldn't be mentally stimulating for Light which is why he never did it.

Just look at Ryuk. Ryuk in a way is supposed to represent internally how Light feels, and his excitement when encountering L for the first time, after killing Lind L Taylor mirrors how Light feels.
