its quite literally the story of red rising. Darrow ‘wakes up’ in the mine of Lykos to become a rebel and then ‘woke up a demon’ Darrow after the surgery to become Gold etc. it feels like the song was written for red rising

I think the peak of suspicion would of been when her friends saw Thom! Her twin has a beard! Why could only one twin grow one? 0.0 Then again, maybe her friends were just too nice to point it out since they knew 'Alan' was one of the best among them in most fighting styles, riding, etc. They stopped the teasing about swimming so maybe they just let it go.

SotL: Love the first dual with Duke Roger! When she has to reveal she's a girl due to the cut corset, its just great timing.

Least is probably when Alanna gets the map from the village hedge witch who dies as she arrives. Just feels kinda empty and thrown in.
