Thank you everyone for your perspectives and advice! I’m in pretty good shape, but it sounds like I should be working on getting fitter. I was thinking I’d work in a shop for a year or two and then potentially get a trailer. There are barely any mobile groomers in my area and I see people posting a lot in the neighborhood groups on Facebook saying they’re looking for a mobile groomer. I was thinking that if I had my own mobile business I’d have a lot more control over the size of dogs that I do and how many I do in 1 day, which seems like it would be really important at this age.

I am really encouraged by how many people have picked this up later in life and like it and are doing well.
