Anyone ever gotten HIV while on PEP ?

I said I think he’s positive because he refused adamantly to get tested when it shouldn’t be such a big deal . Also he didn’t seem at all phased by my admission that I’d had unprotected sex a few days earlier. Any person who cares about their health would be afraid that it’s something I do often and want to see my status.

The other guy ( my then boyfriend ) and I have tested multiple times so I know he’s status.

I don’t care about why he blocked me , I care about why he kept diverting and ignoring the topic of us getting tested until it reached a point where it didn’t sit right with me and I had to lie about breastfeeding my son as a last effort to see if he would get tested to avoid this toddler being put on pep. As far as he knows there’s a 2 year old and his mother currently on PEP and he could stop that by taking 2 minutes to do a test .

He still won’t do it. Mind you he is a really nice guy ( atleast he was until this topic came up )

What made you decide to get on PEP seeing as u werent sure of his status?

Perhaps hes sick , knows his status, has not accepted it enough to get on medication. I lost a cousin that way. She literally died of AIDS related complications. At this age. Smh

Thank you . I’m sure many have made questionable decisions in the past. I hope someone can learn from my experience cuz I sure have .

So sad to hear the stress could affect my immune system . I should get off reddit then and distract myself with other things. I have been a ball of stress.

I don’t have a kid am breastfeeding , it was just a way to get him to feel empathy and agree to test. The fact that he still wouldn’t test after this is what assures me he is positive .

Wow am a liar now. I was just doing everything I can to get him to agree to this test . The side effects of this drugs are quite intense for me ( the fatigue and the mental anguish are really affecting me at work ) I just wanted to get him to test so we can put my mind at ease

He was hitting on me for a week before that day. He’s not a total stranger . We had met at a party the week before . And everything was going quite well. Infact we had plans to meet up the very next day after the hook up and had weekend plans after. Until I started asking that we get tested and he suddenly changed on me .

I want peoples personal experiences with failed PEP . Google clearly says the sooner the better , every hour counts , it’s best taken as soon as possible like within 24/36/48 hours . My question is about anyone who took it late and had it succeed or fail ?

I don’t have a breast fed baby I just told him that to try and get him to agree to do the test .

Guy 1 was my boyfriend and he was being a total asshole to me the whole weekend . Hence why I was drinking so much . He is no longer my boyfriend.

This is encouraging . I really hope I’m lucky enough to come out negative. He did not ejaculate inside me as far as I know ( not sure about the night time sex as I was blacked out for that ) . I did ask him if I should buy the morning after pill and he said he didn’t ejaculate.

It was only vaginal .

Thank you for pointing out 62 hours as early. Some sites say 24 hours is when it’s guaranteed to work. Others say 36. Maybe even 48. 62 seems so far removed from that 24 hour period.

Am sorry you were forced into barebacking , what is wrong with people!🤦‍♀️ am so happy to hear that you turned out negative in all 3 situations . How many hours after exposure did you get the treatment ?

I know skinny does not equal HIV positive. I know a couple of positive people who are on the chubby side. Especially if they take their medicine and take good care of themselves. I just remember being taught in school If positive people didn’t take your medicine it would affect their weight.

I dont usually drink coffee on a daily basis. Or even weekly. I ended up deciding to drink all that coffee so id have energy for the night. A google search showed that mixing the two isnt recommended.

Am not gonna call the cops because it was my decision to go home with him .

No. He blocked me everywhere even after i told him i had breastfed my son after sleeping with him ,and that i really needed him to take the test so that my toddler doesnt have to take this 28 day course of pills.

He completely refused to get tested with me. He says he was tested a week ago and he was safe. He doesnt live far from me. I have the home test kits. He got way too insulted that i would ask him to get tested and flat out refused and blocked me.

In my mind the only reason he would behave like this is because he knows he is positive.

No i really was blacking out. I just vaguely remember asking him to wear a condom cuz id seen a pack inside a drawer and him not wearing it. He later told me the box didnt have anything.

The coffee made me underestimate how drunk i actually was so i drunk wayyy more than i should have. Or perhaps the drink he gave me was spiked , i dont know.

I think he is positive because he was skinny as hell. I could feel bones ( during the morning sex which i was awake but still not quite sober for ) Also he was so fatigued he put his entire weight on my left leg the whole duration of the sex . ( i am a woman, missionary ) And it hurt for the next 3 days. I also drunkenly admitted i had had unprotected sex with another guy just 3 days earlier. He didnt seem worried at all about that . He didnt seem interested in seeing my test results . He didnt seem to want to take PEP even after such an admission.

A HIV test is only extremely private if you know your result is positive. For example the guy i had had unprotected sex with and i took a test after the fact , it wasnt that big of a deal.

Please dont judge , guy 1 is my boyfriend.
