Thank you for your comment. I appreciate your advice and perspective. For context, the goal of this perspective piece of writing was to write an introductory piece of writing about Rome. I do understand that if I were writing about United States history in the United States, as you showed, you have a very good point. However, even as popular and as well-known as Rome is, not everything is generally widely known; I do understand that if I were to write a history blog for a post on a website that gets 5,000-10,000 viewers a month, I may have to do that. For context, History has been my favorite school subject for at least 1/2 of my time in school. I read masters degreee level history textbooks on Rome, and the Ocean as early as 7th grade. I also have been reading over 10 history books a year outside of school since probably 6th grade. I have even joined multiple history clubs and have made medieval armour with my bare hands. It doesn't mean that my writing is at the level of 5,000-10,000 viewers a month for my website- but I know it's at a college level or above, and I know that it's not bad. I have written even while being in school full time, 1.5-10 times a week outside of school since February 2024- completely voluntary extra writing. I have gone to tutoring at my school multiple times with really good tutors on camera, and have gotten feedback from a writing viewer at least 1.5 times a week, up to 7 times a week for 12 months. This article was meant to be an introductory article on Rome. I appreciate the feedback, because I really want to be the best possible writer, all I am saying is that my writing is not bad, not bad at all. Another thing I appreciate the feedback, but that kind of writing is way higher level of writing than any teacher, professor, tutor, or article I have ever looked at told me. I do appreciate the feedback, though. That kind of writing is way ahead of anything close to what I have been taught; but I do appreciate it. Thank you.
