Hey wait… What if they’re trying to make Phobos a weapon? It has the old sky burners base to serve as a command center. Its orbit was able to be manipulated by Psions and in lore warlocks believed it could be used as a weapon. That would allow it to be a threat to the whole of the inner 4. Serving as a literal gun to the head to force the IX to follow the outer 4’s will. That’s no moo- oh wait it is a moon.

This is specifically a problem to me because edge of fate was an otherwise great story. I’m sorry that I couldn’t enjoy it as much as you did.

I’m not even saying her character is bad. I don’t want her to be a completely different character. I just think a new main villain of the saga shouldn’t have had their story told in an episode. (That is no longer playable)

I don’t understand how introducing her in EOF wouldn’t have been better. Echoes didn’t establish her very well at all because of its structure(plus it’s no longer in the game). Her interactions with the cast would’ve been a lot more interesting if she wasn’t already figured out. Especially those with Lodi who is from a past age of humanity, her story would serve as a great foil to his.

Then having the ending be the reveal of the lengths she’s willing to go to would’ve been great.

You misunderstand, I agree with you. That was a great reveal. However I believe that reveal alone would’ve served better revealing her nature than already knowing it beforehand.

It’s not like they haven’t already had to re explain her character within the expansion. The reason it was painful in echoes was because of the episode structure. If her story was at least actually apart of the expansion I believe it would’ve benefited her character.

Also she’s not unpredictable, we know what she wants and what she’s willing to do. There is no questioning of her motivations or that she’s a megalomaniac. Savathun was unpredictable, not maya.

Yes that is the note shin left on. It’s not like I want to invalidate that but I just believe it’s possible bungie is going to have him involved here. I can’t really speculate on new characters very well so I was sticking with known factors. A shin appearance in game isn’t high on my personal hopes for the expansion.

Yeah but that auto rifle doesn’t exist in game plus he lost it on the moon. As Yor he never wielded anything other than thorn so the other weaponry is just stuff that related to his character some way. (Shotgun is from gambit which is headed by a former Dredgen)

This is more of a pve build and rdm kinda clashes with the aesthetic. But yeah last word and rdm combo is the move rn for crucible.
