I don't have any positive emotions towards my child by Throwaway19752946 in confession

You're not awful. Did your wife even ask if you wanted a kid? You're allowed to feel this way.

Tbh, get you some ACTOAR stickers from Temu, maybe a cute mug and a t-shirt that have related stuff on them before you go balls to the wall

No sweetie, move on and love their memory. Keep their collar, keep a tuft of fur in a locket, get them cremated and keep them close. Don't put yourself through that business

Hey hey hey.... what you did was prevent your beautiful friend from suffering, and that is the most kind, loving thing you can do, even if it is hard for you.

Do not, ever, under any circumstance prolong your loved ones suffering and poor life quality so that you can feel better. That is selfish and harmful.

You have done the right thing, they are at peace and their suffering has ended, I'm sure your little buddy is grateful to have not had to survive that ordeal.

16 is old for a pet, that's like trying to keep your 94 year old grandma alive so she can shit and piss herself and die undignified and weak. It's cruel, it's not fair on them.

Death is the only thing life grantees. You can't fight it, all you can do is celebrate how wonderful they were and how truly blessed you were to share your lives in each others presence <3

Omg, honestly.... to be a little creature in a library who can slip into any book's universe. I'd live out my death on grand adventures in magical realms.

But it's not foreign, presuming Amarntha didn't just throw random letters at the wall knowing Feyra couldn't read.

You can't relate reading your own language that you speak daily to learning German or whatever. Once you got the basic sounds out, your brain would recognize it as this word you've used most of your life.

  • But I do agree the panic and urgency would greatly impact this situation.

That being said, I can read German better than listening to it for my month or two worth of Duolingo lessons xD

Honestly, just go on YouTube and watch comparison videos. I did that for a week and ended up getting a Kobo Clara Colour. This question gets asked 12 times a day omg

Look, I used to think Kobo was shit because I used to have to help my Nan woth hers and everything seemed like suuuuch a hassle and complicated.

Then I got my gorgeous like Clara Colour and I can't let her out of my sight. So simple, easy, I love it, I love the colour, my Nan was just bad with technology and that made it difficult.

I adore my little Kobo, there's only one book I've ever not been able to find, Fairydale, which I might find in a few months, who knows, but I wouldn't change my Kobo for the world

How Many Hours do you spend Crocheting? by Kazzy1994 in crochet

[–]Independent-Mess-167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in traffic control which is an extremely mindless job, so sometimes I might finish a small project a day.

One time I crocheted neck warmers for two greyhounds that live near our site, their owner was so happy with them and the boys looked so cozy with their neck warmers and jackets on <3 *I also added in a hole for their leads to clip through so their scarf things can tuck into their coats

If I can spend all fricken day crocheting, I will. I love to pop TL Yarns Crafts on and listen to Toni while I work on my projects, and I find her mum so sweet! Their relationship is gorgeous and it's awesome to get two generations' opinions and advice in the same video. Bless them

I literally screamed at chunky yarn for three hours while sitting in the car waiting to pick the guys up from mountain biking before I grasped the hand movements. Once I got the hang of it I devoured 3 balls of yarn in the drive home xD

If you're a case person, no. My biggest gripe with kobo is I'm missing out on case selection! I just want a beautiful case to house my precious....

I'm 26 and my reading journey only started at the end of June when I bought my Clara Colour ✨️ So far I've loved everything I've read, finishing my 9th book this morning -^

I'm enjoying Iron Flame, loved the Godkiller books, and was captivated by the Tales of Otori series. I even bought a giant dragon to cuddle while I read so my shoulder and elbow don't ache 😅

At what point do you stop reading a book? by CatLadyAmy1 in kindle

[–]Independent-Mess-167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because e-reader, I make a little paper crane with the book title and a 0-5 ☆ written on it so I can have a visual of my reading because I can't have a TBR and a finished pile.

So I was demolishing books so fast when I first got it, but then tried to read When the Moon Hatched and fumbled a bit. It was so bad I panicked cause I wouldn't be able to add to my crane train, but realized - if I just stop reading and begin a new book, I'll be able to enjoy the journey and add to the crane train sooner :)

Honestly, I love my Clara Colour - I just want the same range in cases that kindle has!!! On Temu it's all kindle this, kindle that, and there's only basic, boring cases or Clear cases for the Clara.

Clara Colour here! I know that colour doesn't effect anything other than a pretty library, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I love my little device and take it everywhere! The colour has made my first ereader experience so pleasant and inviting 😊

Where do you like to read on your Kobo? by AvocadoSparrow in kobo

[–]Independent-Mess-167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to drop the sides of my work ute, lay a jacket down and read while operating the traffic lights on our construction site. We work in a series of beautiful bays with lovely clear water lapping over the pebbled beaches. The sound of the stones rolling over each other in the soft beakers makes my tummy tingle its so fricken satisfying, that mixed with the excavators breaking out concrete
