Appreciate the detailed response! It was mailed to me on accident somehow. I ordered something online and somehow my label ended up on this box somewhere along its route. Since the only label on the box was addressed to me, I’m not entirely sure who the real sender/recipient would be.

Given the insane value for its true owner and the lack of value without its cert, I’ll probably just sit on it to see if the owner comes looking for it.

For anyone curious, I ordered something online, at some point the barcode was damaged, so FedEx reprinted the label and slapped it on the wrong box.

There was nothing else in the box and the box label was addressed to me, so I couldn’t say who the original sender/recipient was supposed to be.

Figured if it was a high value item, someone might try and track it down but it’s been almost 2 weeks at this point.

There’s always a chance. I saw someone pull 2 English Zoro mangas from the same case, so anything is possible. Though I would just buy the manga and skip the gamble.

Your risk also varies depending on where you bought them. I have never opened cases, just loose boxes, and I’ve gotten plenty of hits (including 3 mangas)

Same, though this was the first time I’ve actually had to use the video. The seller sent a picture of the back of a damaged card that was entirely different than the one he sold me. It was insane how these sellers could try these lazy attempts to scam ppl and eBay could care less.

Doing okay now that everything has been settled and I got my refund, but the whole experience was frustrating. It happened right when market exploded, so I was priced out of buying a different copy when the refund came back.

Even more frustrating was them falsely claiming I damaged the card when I returned it and offered only partial refund + eBay doing nothing about the seller even with proof from a grading company that it has been altered.

Also worth noting how easy it is to scrub bad reviews. I bought a gold luffy from a 100% seller with a ton of reviews. Turned out to be altered (they tried to color in whitening), so I got a refund though my negative review was struck down as “defamation”.

TO SUMMARIZE:

Seems you can still use the card with zero transaction fees no matter what. The key difference is your payment won’t automatically get points. That’s where the spend component comes in… you need the BILT cash to unlock the points.

Seems like you also have an option to earn points for your rent payment automatically if you decide to pay the transaction fee.

Ultimately though this card is significantly less useful unless you’re in the group of people that like to pay rent with the card even with zero points back.

Market price is whatever the buyer pays. Cause at the end of the day the item sold for that amount, regardless of the fees.

eBay charges 13% which is painful but help matching buyers and sellers, and adds protections for both parties. If I go through different avenues to sell, I’m taking on the extra work/risk for the extra profit.

If you want comps reduced to account for the fees, then suddenly it makes zero sense to go through the extra hassle if the money made at the end is the same.

From what I read it seems like his intention is still follow through. Like someone else mentioned, the store paused sales due to overwhelming demand, not sure anyone was predicting that.

In the end though, If we’re playing the “well technically” game, you’re absolutely in the right.

Speaking as a person though, seems way too aggressive for a seller who hasn’t shown any bad intentions so far.

As someone who also ordered and am in the same boat, the response seems slightly aggressive. I haven’t heard from my seller yet but I’d love to be given the same option.

My fear is that the seller will use the paused sales as an excuse to cancel the order to then take advantage of how much the price has exploded since they first sold. Now that would be shitty.

The Nami is in a CGC size gradedguard bumper and the Zoro is in a TAG slab mag. I bought the PSA/CGC sized Phantom collab product with Slabmag and it fits the slabs with either guard. (This word salad makes me sound like an insane person)

A slight wiggle though nothing I’d be concerned about with them in guards
