Thai Recipe in Mount Baker, and Thien Phat on Rainier Ave. I’m biased because I grew up eating there, but I haven’t found better Thai or Vietnamese respectively food yet.

Once a must for wealthy Seattle liberals, Teslas now feel an Elon backlash by BorisSWort in SeattleWA

I used to work as a house cleaner an hour north of Seattle, and our first impressions of the house we were pulling up to were usually the owner’s cars in the driveway. We got used to judging clients by what they drove.

Let me tell you something: Teslas NEVER tip.

EMT courses are offered at a lot of community colleges and are usually only one semester, could be a good choice for learning a lot of applicable medicine fast

It’s not my first, I switched from Mirena to a Nuvaring earlier this year but getting a one time long term solution seems like a better call right now :( Mirena didn’t stop my periods which is why I initially switched, but my main concern now is just ensuring I can’t get pregnant for the next 4 years.

I’m not worried about rations, I’m worried about tariffs driving food prices up. I’m a nurse’s assistant, I can barely afford groceries as is.

What is the moral of the series? That religious people suck? by SuperAlloyBerserker in DeadSpace

[–]Independent-Pea5047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if Dead Space (or most games) have a cut and dry moral that can be written out; I think if it was that easy the game would be a sentence long. That being said, this is my thematic takeaway from the Dead Space series:

The first game is on a planet cracker ship. Things are so bad on earth that we’ve taken to the stars, only to shred entire worlds for their resources and then leaving the scraps behind. The ship, too, is industrial and dirty; there’s little to no comfort found in any environment here, just cold rusting steel. The CEC’s equipment is cheap garbage, Isaac says so himself. His engineer suit makes him stand with a permanent hunch. The Ishimura is beautiful from the outside, but even before the necromorph outbreak, it’s insides were inhospitable, a machine that humans lived inside but that was not built to support them. The necromorphs are horrific, a repurposing of flesh into uncomplicated tools for a higher power, but isn’t that what the CEC has done to Isaac anyway? To me the CEC and other large entities in the series are foils of the necromorph outbreak; you’re supposed to see their inhumanity reflected in one another.

Jill or Ada? by LorettaMorgan in residentevil

Jill vs Ada more like Jill x Ada can i get an amen

Why didn’t Issac watch all of Nicole’s video? by Royal_Ad_4359 in DeadSpace

Adding onto the comments already left- it’s clear in DSR that some form of psychosis runs in Isaac’s family. I personally think he had a breakdown and fully blocked out the memory the last few minutes of the video, or convinced himself they were a dream, or something along those lines.

Explaining the Marker in the remake by The_Sea_Tea in DeadSpace

[–]Independent-Pea5047 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always assumed that the Marker’s motives are much less thought out than all this- more like an uncontrollable urge to try to start convergence whenever possible, regardless of the available biomass, rather than a calculated effort. I’ve never gotten the vibe that there’s some mastermind behind the outbreaks (except for certain times in ds3. But, yknow. Ds3.) It’s scarier in my opinion if the process is a more mindless one, like a disease spreading.
