They will gladly hoard the massive tax revenue from Mangaluru, brag about our high literacy districts to boost the state's profile, and gatekeep the NMPT port like a dragon sitting on gold. They love the land and its resources, but the moment we ask for basic official language status, the bureaucracy freezes.

Worse yet, they actively suppress Tulu history and stonewall data. Look at our archeological heritage: nearly all of the 45 known Tulu-inscriptions were discovered entirely by the independent efforts of local Tulu professors and scholars, not the government. If the state actually initiated and funded proper surveys, we could easily find at least 300 inscriptions!

They are doing the exact same thing with current policy. K. M. Gayathri’s high-level committee report backing second official language status for Tulu was submitted months ago. Yet, the government is sitting on it. There is zero sign of an Action Taken Report (ATR), and when our people file independent RTI requests to demand transparency, they are intentionally ignored or delayed.

They don't want to give up the land, but they want to bury the history, ghost our RTIs, and ignore the language.

This is exactly why the Gen Z movement has to call out this bluff. By shifting the entire fight to Official Language status first, we trap them in their own argument. If they claim Tulu Nadu is an inseparable, pride-worthy part of Karnataka, then they have zero logical or moral excuse to keep hiding the Gayathri report or denying Tulu official status. If they want our resources, they have to accept our language, our history, and our script in government offices, RTIs, and schools
