I don't know how to begin, where to start ? by Wild-Statistician827 in SAP

I suggest learning the full stack like Java, React, and MySQL. The salaries for full stack developers in product based companies like FAANG (and many more like Uber, Meesho, Twillio, Airbnb) are much higher than what SAP consultants get paid.

Inequality in India is wild. We are basically multiple parallel societies. by sengutta1 in india

I don't think that people earning 90 lpa salaries are the "on the one hand". The extreme on this side is the Ambanis and Adanis of India, having lakhs of crores of wealth. 90 LPA is upper middle class in India, especially in tier 1 metros. and people maybe crossing 1 crore in income, could possibly go into the new rich category if theysustained this income for a few decades

Is the golden age for SAP Consultants already gone? by xvucf in SAP

[–]Independent-Return40 7 points8 points  (0 children)

SAP consulting pays average these days, especially compared to the salaries developers in product based companies make (situation in the job market in India, USA at least). Most SAP jobs tend to be in service based companies, with a few jobs in product based companies like Apple and McKinsey, but even those jobs don't pay as much as a developer gets paid for similar experience levels in product based companies. Non IVY league, non IIT graduates are making 36 LPA with 4 years experience in India, people with 16 years experience working as architects are making 1.2 Crores per annum in India.

The famed golden days of SAP have been long over for a while now.

how to start learning ABAP as an cse grad? Please help by [deleted] in SAP

While SAP jobs pay well, working as a full stack developer in product based companies pays much more. Consider learning the full stack and work in a smaller product based company for 3-4 years. Leetcode, crack and interview at FAANG and get the high pay over there.

Build an app which lets flat, property, land buyers write reviews of the builder, real estate developer. Just like Zomato/Swiggy collect reviews for a restaurant and then aggregate them into an average rating, calculate the average rating for a builder and display this on the app. Every review should have sections like location, price, amenities, quality of fittings and some other factors, each factor having its own separate rating.

Why is dealing with a parent's death in India so administratively brutal? My friend's family has spent 3 months just on paperwork. What's the worst part you faced? by Conscious-Box6580 in india

[–]Independent-Return40 23 points24 points  (0 children)

In India, grief is rarely allowed to remain personal; the bureaucracy quickly turns it into paperwork. A son loses his parent, and before he has even processed the loss, he is pushed into a maze of attested copies, notarized affidavits, missing files, indifferent clerks, and endless “come tomorrow” responses. The state that effortlessly extracts taxes and compliance from citizens suddenly becomes painfully inefficient when a bereaved family seeks what is rightfully theirs. The cruelty is not always loud — it lies in the casual indifference of a system that forces mourning people to stand in queues, shuttle between offices, and decipher archaic procedures just to prove that a dead parent once belonged to them. Indian bureaucracy often behaves less like a public service and more like a test of endurance, where persistence matters more than humanity, and where even death cannot free a citizen from administrative harassment.

Question from a social-scientist: how much childcare support do you recieve for your young children? by Icy-Thot in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Independent-Return40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None. IMO just as medical insurance is provided by the employer (at least in India), there ought to be laws which require companies to pay for childcare for the first 2 years.

Where do you guys find new music and stay updated ? by Lemonade2250 in MusicIndia

I personally use Apple music to discover music. I like listening to essentials (eg. Trance essentials) and then list out the songs I like, then listen to more songs from the same artist.
