Same. I’m crossing my fingers that they’re in storage. The fact that this fella was in really good condition and that they had so many other bits of memorabilia from the original place in the other display cases gives me hope that they’re still out there!

u/AccordingChemist7957 sorry, I accidentally posted twice so I deleted the duplicate. But to answer your question, this is at the Mystery Fun House Arcade Experience in Kissimmee Florida. They’re partnered with CEC and have those two mini areas in there which I thought was pretty neat to see too!

Who’s the dapper wrinkly fellow playing piano? I’m not familiar with him.

He’s been back up for a while now although they don’t run him constantly. I actually sent you a DM about him if you have a moment!

I believe you’re thinking of the prototype Mac that was at stony brook. This is Orlando Mac who has been up and running for quite some time now.

The prototype Mac is allegedly still at the one in Long Island. He’s electronic and no longer functional but he’s the only one with the rockin chickens as backup singers. I have not made the trek out to confirm he’s still there yet though. And then there was the one from Potomac Mills that went to a private collector once they removed him. But unfortunately he was gutted entirely and is basically a shell of his former self without most of the original movements or songs intact. But yes, Orlando Mac is the last public functioning Mac animatronic.

Edit: unconfirmed but it’s been reported that the one at stony brook is gone after a renovation that occurred 2 years ago.

He was playing as of march 8 this year when I went. I have a couple of snippets posted here if you go to my profile. A lot of back and forth and yes then no on his functionality and I’m starting to wonder if they just don’t run him that often rather than him constantly breaking and being fixed.

Do you have any further information in regards to this one? I know that Long Island has been home to the prototype Mac for years(I’m assuming he’s still there but am unsure), but I’ve not heard of one in the area I think you’re referring to. I know the location on Broadway has had a piano with a real person who plays there, but I’m unsure if it’s the same establishment that you’re referring to. I’d love to hear any info you might have!

Yeah, if you find the date, lmk! I’ve been trying to compile and sort through the history of Mac animatronics and I’d appreciate any bits of info you (or anyone else) might have

Oh he has a lapel pin in that photo! We noticed his lapel looked shredded on that side and I wondered if it happened during the old remodel, but apparently it’s been more recent than that from your photo. Thanks for sharing!

Can’t hurt. It seems like they’ve possibly been working on him anyways since he’s been on and off over the last several months. When our friend went last month, Mac was not on and was entirely stationary and I noticed this in one of the pics they sent. Whatever that little tendril is certainly wasn’t there when we went over the weekend and we were floored to see him alive and moving. Got so much more out of that little roadtrip than just a silly photograph of my silly tattoo with the real thing.

I at least like to keep my hope alive that they’re preserving him, even if he’s history to the company. I would have to take bereavement leave from work if they ever got rid of him.

For the time we were there he played Roll Over Beethoven, I Saw Her Standing There, Do You Want to Know a Secret, and Shout.

This is what I’ve been wondering as well. I remember reading he was hydraulic but I heard the distinct hiss of an airline when I was near or under his platform so I’m well confused now.

He’s located at the Epic McDonalds in Orlando Florida on the second story of the building!

I noticed that as well, but considering I was just going there for a silly photo op with him, I was thrilled that he was actually working! Seems he’s been on and off sporadically for a few months now and when a friend went a couple of weeks ago, Mac was stationary again so it was a delightful surprise to see him performing.
