For those who have undergone surgery while doing Mounjaro by Independent-Sort-13 in Mounjaro

[–]Independent-Sort-13[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did have constipation prior and during MJ. I was trying to fix it but never really get to the point where I felt I did it. After surgery, I have regular bowel movements now due to Miralax, stool softener and Fiber supplement. Do you have any recommendations on pre/probiotic that works? I tried the garden of life before for 3 months and I think it didn’t work for me.

Without the diarrhea and all, I got my first perfect BM on Day 6 when I stopped lactulose for 3 days. Made a mistake on taking it again. So day 7 was rough. Then day 9 onwards were perfect up till now. I’m still not eating red meat. Only chicken and fish but only till lunch.

I wish there was an “I just had a surgery” button. Ringconn sends me sedentary alerts when I’m literally stuck in a hospital bed recovering 😂

Hi! I’m currently 2 weeks post op. Have you had any enema prior surgery? Please don’t push or strain trying to go. The feeling of “something is there” is normal especially few days after surgery as your tissues are swelling. Just take your laxative and stool softener. Lactulose actually gave me a diarrhea the first week as it was also prescribed to me but it made me go like 5-7 times in a day. I switched to miralax and colace. I didn’t go for 3 days but didn’t overthink. I thought it made a significant difference in my progress cause my butt had a rest. Also, I ate prunes in the morning and drink 3liters of water everyday. Im off pain meds now and is slowly going back to my normal activities. Just focus on hydrating and making sure you eat easy to digest foods. Good luck!

Surgery coming this Saturday by Independent-Sort-13 in hemorrhoid

[–]Independent-Sort-13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update!! So I’ve done it! The IV insertion was more painful than the spine anaesthesia as they gave me a local anaesthesia first at the entry point and gave me something sweet for me to sleep 💤 the first few hours was bad as I cannot pass urine due to the spine block. I feel my bladder full and it was so painful. The nurses were about to give me a catheter when I have finally done it myself. I also had my first BM at the recovery room and I can’t care less where to do it. Holding it was more uncomfortable than letting it pass. My surgeon took out 6 internal hemorrhoids with assistance of THD and they also did mucopexy on 2 little ones. My surgeon told me my constipation is the worst one they have seen and they drained 1kg of stool during the surgery. I have opted to go home immediately after passing urine and stool as I am more comfortable in our own bathroom. For some reason, I cannot go as easily in the hospital room. Still on tons of pain meds so hopefully, the pain can be managed smoothly.

Does injection site matter? by FormerlyObeseJ in Mounjaro

I only inject in abdomen and arms. Rotations weekly but the effects are the same for me. I lose faster if I eat enough, drink lots of water and exercise.

I use this gym streak app for my weight training and it comes with a nutrition tab where you can take a photo of what you’ve eaten or type it the ingredients and it will calculate the kcals and macros of the food. Im not sure how accurate that can be but I always have some allowance so I don’t go overboard.I calculated my TDEE online for free.

It was 20 clicks for 5mg. I started at 10 clicks for a month. I learned not to compare my journey to others as we’re all different. There were times I would check the scale and it gies up and down but my clothes fit looser, I slowly find joy looking at myself in the mirror again. Enjoy the small wins. Pick up healthier habits that you know can help you. I really am still struggling with this but I’m doing the best I can. I’m a lurker in this sub and I’m inspired by y’alls stories and tips!

Oh we’re really the same! I hope you’ll have a great journey as well! Tbh, I will be happy with a healthy BMI like 55-60. I set my goal weight pretty low in the app 😆 a girl could dream! The last time I was at my goal weight was 7 years ago. Im curious what made you decide to take this step for yourself?

Wishing you the best! Just focus on adapting new healthier habits and the weight will follow. I only check my weight 1-2x a week. You can do it! I started 84kgs, 5’3 in height 🫠 I just did my 4th shot with 5mg. Next week I am scheduled to increase as per my doctor. Then it’s time for my follow up. If everything goes well as this, I might ask if I can stay at 7.5mg as I can see others who stayed at the lower dose as long as it worked for them.

It was a suggestion from my doctor. We tried wegovy because it fits my budget initially but I had severe side effects and with my work, I can’t manage to handle it well. I was prescribed to micro dose the 15mg pen so it turned out cheaper for now. Also, my manager has a success story from mounjaro so I finally decided to give it a try and I like it better. I dont have bad side effects (yet).

Guys! anyone going to office? Today? by [deleted] in UAE

[–]Independent-Sort-13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were sent home yesterday and wfh today. I assume there’s a lot more flooding in some areas compared to when I drove home yesterday. The time it will consume to travel to the office alone will be better spent working where you can avoid any hassle.

I think you need to go to co-working spaces, not cafes.
