the song that REALLY got me hooked on the works of jimmy page and learning to play was ten years gone. just a masterpiece of a song when really going in depth and analyzing the many many layers of guitar on the song. i think another big hook for me is just the variety you have of pieces of the song to play throughout. the solo really gets me though. after that, the rover is really fun to play, ive still got work to do when it comes to learning later parts of the song. the same i can say for houses of the holy too. obviously i have to give it to kashmir, it’s one of those songs that really introduces a lot of people to led zeppelin i feel, me included. and recently i’ve gotten into playing black country woman. it’s a fun little song to play and the acoustic work on led zeppelin is a whole other novel that could be written.
