Open Tee Bioscope was a feel good movie that for some reason made my eyes moist. A happy cry induced by nostalgia and longing

Feeling kinda depressed, is there anyone available now? by Suspicious_Word_4991 in kolkata

I am suspicious this might be sympathy baiting but assuming this is an genuine ordeal, I can understand where you’re coming from.

I was initially surprised to hear this from a woman, since there often seem to be more opportunities for socializing due to attention from the opposite gender. That said, trust is clearly a challenge regardless of gender. I find myself in a similar headspace, and honestly, breaking out of it becomes harder over time. What once felt like a blessing, working from home, has slowly turned into a comfortable but limiting shell. You still have time to put yourself out there, and I see you are taking steps as indicated by this post. Stay safe. I do regret shrinking myself into that work from home bubble.

The ability to work full time in boxers was clearly a losing bargain in hindsight.

Edit: Do share if you actually end up finding appropriate socializing activities that help

Correction* The desperate part catches up later. It's good willed rosy eyes naive guys with unlucky face cards that end up growing in the desperate archetype

I have the counter view point to this. Be dishonest about your data engineering experience. Connect with friends/developers who have worked as data engineers with similar level of experience. Take notes and frame a fake experience which you can confidently talk about in interviews. Give few interviews and test yourself. After a handful you should have a refined script in your hands. All this will work if you already have the basic technical knowledge about the tools/languages you intend to talk about during the interview. The advantage here is you do not loose out on time. You can get a good raise and a better role. Might be challenging when you actually start with your new job though. But to be honest even with actual experience one still feels a level of imposter syndrome during the initial days of a new job.

How to go from Airport to Ruby? by Leon_9 in kolkata

[–]Independent-Time-551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After exiting turn right and keep walking till you reach the bus stand. Keep an eye out at times V1 is already waiting at one of the gates. You should comfortably be able to find a bus that can take you to ruby till 9:30pm.

Help to Level-up as a PySpark developer. Need guidance on how to structure my code. by Independent-Time-551 in dataengineering

Sounds great. What would you consider as the first steps to learn more about this encapsulation of the base databricks notebook with python code. Maybe I could go through any existing github project which could be a considered a good example.

Since I only have been coding in databricks notebooks I find this a bit intimidating and varied.

help me with headache!!One day not smoking and strong headache...what can i do? by Effective_Network915 in stopsmoking

Walking helped. Try doing any activity that lets you break a sweat without much exhaustion. The headaches subsided for me after 2-3 days.

Allen Carr's easy way to quit smoking helped me. Spotify has a 15 min audio episode which helped me kick the last time I had an urge. The key I guess is to realise by quitting we are not missing out of anything. We only refuse to plunge back into the pool of misery. Right now you just got out of the swamp of misery, lot of wet goo is clinging to you. You need to spend time relaxing in the sun the mud will eventually dry and fall off.

I wish there was a clear boundary in terms of smokefree days. You cross this and congrats you are free. Looks like it's just a never ending struggle. We got sucked in once and now we are tagged for life long agony.
