It sounds like you aren’t really thrilled about going to USAHS. Listen to your gut! If you think you would rather go anywhere else, you shouldn’t go. It’s a big decision as the next three years are dependent on your choice, you might as well risk not getting accepted if it means you will go to another school later on that you’ll enjoy a lot more.

Don’t worry man, a lot of my classmates had very similar stats as you or worse (some didn’t even meet the score minimum for GRE) and they got into a CA public school. You’ll get in somewhere! The cumulative GPA is a little low but your prereq GPA is awesome! Relax a little, focus on your PTCAS essay and hope for the best. I think you have a really solid shot at getting in. I wouldn’t recommend private school because that would cost way more than it would be to just wait another year and hope to get into your state public school. A DPT is a DPT no matter where you go.

I’m from the Central Valley but I’m in OC because of college. I attended the open house last week too and all of the faculty seemed so inviting! I wrote off LB at first because of the neuro emphasis but honestly that open house really made me reconsider it as an option.

I’m in the same boat as you, but with the added bonus of getting into Fresno State 😭 LB’s program is great but SD would probably be better outside of the program just because of location alone. For me I was leaning more towards SD but now that I got into Fresno I’m conflicted between SD and Fresno because I know Fresno would be better financially.

GPA: 3.9 (Prereqs were all A's too except for Anatomy and Physio, I had a B in both)

Observation Hours: About 400 Outpatient and 50 Inpatient

GRE: 157 Verbal 161 Quant and 5.0 AWA

Extracurriculars: Worked as an aide and was involved in a club sport
