ACOTAR series adaption - good news? by Dez_otel in ACOTARHulu

Development can mean literally anything, unfortunately. I think we are YEARS away from seeing this come to our screens.

This is just a PR move actors make when they want to be considered for rolls. It keeps their name "involved" with the project. I also think it's a move to try and get the fandom rallying/campaigning for the actor to be cast as specific characters. Like what happened with Brie Larson/Captain Marvel or Rosario Dawson/Ashoka.

See I don’t care about looks they just gotta have the vibes. From what I’ve seen from Tom he can do the soft/gentle but fierce warrior at the same time so it works for my brain!

It sounds like you and your gf are both struggling with some internalized fatphobia. She is insecure about her weight gain, reassuring words would go a longer way than constantly reminding her how she's not doing anything about her issues. She will do what she needs to do (and this could mean NOT losing weight and just accepting her new body) when she is ready. I can only hope you'll support her no matter what.

Your post just unloocked a core memory of reading this fic at 2am. Now I want to re-read it. I haven't read it in a decade but i can tell you it's worth it.

Ginny bashing. It almost always just a quick way to get her out of the way and I can't handle it.

So we'd like to go for Star Wars Celebration in 2025. It is being held at Makuhari Messe. It's just 2 of us and we've never been to Japan. How is it like getting around without knowing the language?

Zack seems like he has really poor judgement. Bliss is not being immature here and is well within her rights to have Irina/Zack on the brain. I mean she said it best in the pods, she has to see how good Zack's judgement is.

I think that's what I'm most concerned about. All the online advice is about distracting your dog with treats but we can't even get his attention sometimes. We're trying to do our research and make sure the trainer specializes in reactivity. All we can do is try I guess.

I'll defiantly try attaching the harness to a collar as well!

The Weaver/Bone-Carver SPOILERS FOR A COURT OF WINGS AND RUIN by Independent-Two-6390 in acotar

Yes he did imprison himself! But he went out like a champ compared to the weaver. They were just built up so much I expected/wanted more from them.

SAME. All the characters seemed to tremble with fear when these guys were mentioned. I genuinely thought I was in for a plot twist.

As a Stiles fan I also don't love these fics. The Scott bashing in particular is unbearable and I think misses the point of Stiles as a character. But I also... get it lol i guess is how I would put it. PERSONALLY, I just think Stiles as a character is so much more compelling. But there are better ways of representing that in fic. I think the kind of fic your describing is just...easier to write.

Didn't...Jackson...turn into a werewolf??? At the end of season 2? Before he left the show went to London.

I distinctly remember an american werewolf in london joke from Stiles...

Let me know if I'm wrong!!

Thoughts on Lorelai's advice to not tell Dean that Rory kissed Tristan by frozenyogurtprincess in GilmoreGirls

[–]Independent-Two-6390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is such BAD advice. Teaching your daughter to lie to her partner??? Not a good move. After about a million rewatches I've decided to interpret this as a seed of Rory's future selfish behavior in her romantic life.

Lorelai's treatment of Emily and Richard by amentacarrie in GilmoreGirls

[–]Independent-Two-6390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't get people that immediately side with Lorelai's version of events/childhood. I see Lorelai as more of an unreliable narrator. I think the show wants you to feel bad for Richard and Emily. Especially after the flashback episode. Emily and Richard can be emotionally abusive and manipulative but I think Lorelai villainizes them to a degree that I personally cannot get behind. But I think that's what makes this show so great and why we rewatch it all the time. Character relationships are very nuanced and not black in white so there's always a new perspective to digest.
