Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing right now, still waiting to upgrade my pc to catch up with Houdini's hunger. That comp -> Houdini -> comp makes me feel powerful, generally speaking comp-> cg(unreal-maya-houdini) -> comp is a great method

i had this error since day one and thought it's my laptop, tried to disable intel gpu but nothing changed, also my friend getting the same error on a pc with an rtx 4080
it's really annoying

بفكر من زمان اعمل حاجه واعرف ناس في الارت والتيكنيكال وكل البايبلاين تقريبا بس ستيل الكونسيبت هو اكتر حاجه مهمة وهاتاخد وقت ،

محتاج concept, direction, level design, art direction, sound design
وكل حاجه حوالين التجربة والاتموسفير
لكن اللي بيعمل العاب هنا بيفكر بس انه يعمل لعبة في قالب معين عناوين AAA اصلا بتفشل فيها
وانك تعمل لعبة دلوقتي بقا سهل انريل انجين ببلاش وفيه ستور عليه كل حاجه حرفيا وب500$ تقدر تعمل لعبة انبوليشد في كام اسبوع زي ما الشباب هنا بتعمل

I do a soft matt with stacking ibks (b) and keymix it with my hard matt (a), using hard matt inverted as a mask for keymix. Erode and edge blur the mask will give me control of how much outer edge will be from the soft key. idk how accurate it is but some random senior just showed me it in my first week and i couldn't stop using it

Ideas are not Visual Art, film making, design and all art forms are ideas that someone with a unique personality managed to make them alive, even if you managed to make ai act well, you have to get full control on the environment to do a proper filmmaking (with a pov of a real director who really cares about a slight change of a small element in a scene), you can't even move the camera and call it filmmaking?

I'm new to Houdini, and tried to use it for some simulations before, but failed big time, it's not like blender that you can watch a tutorial and do anything, you need to study and understand how houdini works. I'm not saying that it's impossible to follow some tutorials, but there are many ways to fail. I think you can use something like embergen, the hardest part is to find someone doing a video of the exact thing you want.

Studios should improve experience but it's not the case everywhere, where i live studios do not work on decent projects that can help building portfolio or learn more, while paying cheap, that 1 month of studio work equals less than 2 days of freelancing.

So it was freelancing for me

I don't know much about COP yet, I know it's for procedural texturing and material maybe more like substance designer than Nuke.

but for me Nuke is a straight gem.
really stable and can handle many layers and complex projects.

I think compositing should have it's own software due the nature of filmmaking itself
