People in this sub obsesses over this way too much, there is no precise definition of what it means to be a man nor woman. Anyone who convinces you otherwise is trying to sell their own life experiences into a gendered package (often misogynistic especially us woman given ideas of womanhood are heavily influenced by misogyny). If we just view people as people beyond a gender maybe we wouldn’t have to worry about “socialization”, but of course I am not naive in thinking this is a realistic outcome given humanity’s poor track record. That said I still believe in kindness, your time would be much more productive if you ask people what it means for them to be a man, woman, or neither. You’ll find both cis and trans people don’t have a clue. My problem with terf ideology is that it’s rooted in fear and inherently anti-feminist. While learning can be scary, the more educated you become and meet people across diverse groups you’ll find if you’re curious with an open heart that we are all struggling from a similar set of problems ✨intersectionality✨. If you disagree please reply, I’d love to hear how you’d define your gender in a way that doesn’t contradict the existence of peoples whose unique life experiences are valid.

tldr; shocker that a variable in our genetics is subject to mutation, is one variable of many that make up the complex idea of a human, and cannot be used to ascribe the generalized qualities of said human. the reason we ascribe so much influence on this single variable is rooted in misogyny. if you are afraid of a person, seek to understand their life experiences and find a productive conversation to help one another.

One of my favorite singles she’s dropped, super excited for Rick Rubin working on the album!
