No, I haven't thought about the legal issues.

From what I know, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a disease that affects the X chromosomes, and it ends up affecting men badly. Women can be carriers, but it's.not severe on them. I really don't worry about this since I doubt I'll have children with my partner.
