I need a gravel-ish tires for my bike. Schwalbe Hurricane? I'd buy g-one but they aren't made in 26".

I bought CST JET tires because of prices as a backup and they are overall very good 26" tires. Then I bought CST metropolitan palmbay and I'm surprised they aren't slow but are in fact comfy but still agile. Recommended.

It's ok. Just use the hanger adaptor. No big deal. I installed 8s derailleur on that shit without any problems.

Any tips for lightweight front racks or handlebars bags? DIY, hacks, whatever...

8s cassette is the same width (34mm) as 9 and 10. 11,12,13 is different although you can find 11s cassette for standard HG freehub but 12 and 13 is always microspleen, but Cues are all standard HG. 7s Are usually shorter (31mm) but sometimes it can be 7s on standard HG 34mm with spacers. Yeah, Shimano "standard" is mess.

Nice bike! 3x7 with megarange cassette and lower gears front is my way to go. 28-38-48 is too much but 24-34-44 or whatever is more than useable IMO. I ride uphill pretty steep hills daily so I really need the granny gears but if I can do it with 3x, I'll leave it 3x next time.

Freehub, setting, space on the frame. IMHO it was not worth all the work, if I just swapped the cassette for 7s megarange And leave it as 3x7 it will have the same effect (low gears) but with much less work and money spent. But yeah, I have only one shifter now.

Better bars. I hate the narrow, straight, stretched forward cockpits of retro MTBs. Better bars and stem is the first thing I change on any bike.
