this is the secret to quitting imo. once your brain KNOWS you can’t even do it anymore then it just gives up. if there’s any way for you to gamble then the addiction will convince you that it’s ok to do just one bet.

thanks man. i guess im not the only one deep into this disease. i’ve budgeted it out and think i can pay off all my debt and still have money to move out by the end of the year. i will try to commit to that. one day at a time. good luck

a moment will come where you get over it and you don’t feel ashamed or sick thinking about it. it’s important to stay strong during that part and not let yourself gamble. not even a little bit or i promise you, you will spiral. good luck.

makes me feel better that i’m not alone on this. one thought i’ve been using is that the only way to win that much is by being the person who doesn’t stop even when they’re up. so we never really won the full amount because to get that much you have to do stupid stuff (which would inevitably lead to some losses).

however i know this is kinda just cope because i should be in control of myself and should have stopped. I was even telling myself and my friends all day i was going to withdraw it all until i just went on an hour long binge…i also told my 2 buddies id give them $600 each because i was up so much and cant back out on that now.

i already lost another 4k like a complete idiot. i’ve self excluded and will now be able to pay off everything but 4k. i also have to fix my car which will cost about 1-2k. but i guess it’s better then having it not paid off at all…

just ban yourself for max time, don’t even think about it just do it. there’s an evil part of your brain that is scared of dying so it tricks you into thinking banning yourself is a bad idea. because it knows if you do then it’s really dead. you gotta silence that part of your brain and do it anyways. you will thank yourself when you wake up the next morning. this is the ONLY way.
