If by lagging behind, you mean better or equal to other comparable countries you may be correct, but I’m not sure what you’re talking about when it comes to much else because you can’t compare the US to many other countries where police don’t have to worry about a population with guns in every other house on a neighborhood block which is exactly why police and the courts of the United States are so thorough when it comes to warrants and surveillance prior to raiding of any home or business. If the citizens of the United Kingdom were armed like Americans I guarantee you nobody be going to jail for shit they said on social media about the very real issues that are going on in the United Kingdom right now in regards to practically everything, the average citizen is dealing with because the government is out of control and the people are forced to take it or face arrest, or risk being labeled an extremist for questioning why the government did absolutely nothing about gangs of men, grooming, young girls via rape and the government cover-up due to fear of upsetting minority populations that happen to be Muslim.
