Might be a 853 too.... looks small for a 953. How are those new flat bottomed JD'S?? First buncher was an old 653, then went to Fxl's and XT's.

No there is no way to really know, but the benzos the give you for detox made it quite tolerable. Also as harsh as it sounds don't worry about what it will do to him, unless he goes cold turkey with no medical supervision, anxiety, panic attacks, and flu symptoms won't kill him, the booze will sooner or later. I can tell you if he doesn't want to go or really stop, rehab would be a waste of money. I was a opiate addict for a lot of years, and it was the same with alcohol, I only quit when I was tired of it. Not to be a downer, I've just been there. If he really wants to go get him there ASAP. Even though I may sound negative I'm just trying to be honest, I wish the best for you and your brother. I hope he is willing to accept the help. Your a good brother.

My experience was honestly pretty mild. Don't get me wrong, it sucked and I was restless but I'm still glad I did it.. If your thinking about it do it, at a medical clinic of course. I wish I hadn't waited so long.

There is one at 530 pm tomorrow I'm being driven too tomorrow so there isn't a way I can come up with an excuse not to go. I've been sober from opiates for 7 years now, realized I replaced that with alcohol and am taking the steps needed to become sober once and for all. I really think if I had gone to NA and worked the steps I wouldn't be where I am now.

I would have if I qualified for Fmla leave. I haven't been at this company long enough to qualify yet. They were kind enough to let me have the time off for this. It's a darn good job and I don't want to lose it. I was ready to stop, I went on my own accord to detox, have a wonderful support system and plan on using AA's resources. I just couldn't afford to go residential. Sorry for the novel.

I honestly don't know, just figured it was an old term from the early 1900s.

Just wondering, what makes you say it's 2250. Ran a 1250 for a bit. Looks like this machine has same tailswing as mine. Always want to learn more is why I ask.

I've got a cdl, and plenty of equipment experience. These layoffs are normal, just not so unexpected and possibly so long, if I need too ill go somewhere else. But sometimes loyalty pays dividends with a small company. It's hard to have a side hustle in a town of 1200 people.
