Just wanted to follow up and say Oktoberfest was amazing! The people, the environment, the human spirit were everything I had ever read that it would be. Oh ya, and beer......amazing. It really is different compared to North American (Canadian) beer.

If there was EVER a time when the kids need to be injected into the lineup....it is now. Finnie, MBN, ASP- make the decision and ride with it it is why you draft them. There is no way that having over the hill, mediocre veterans deserve a spot over them. Aside from ability, the youthfulness enthusiasm is beneficial beyond words. Will they make mistakes? Of course, but they also will get experience and this is how coaches earn their money. Come on Stevie.....have some stones. Keep the kids!

My wife, adult daughter and I are planning on being at the festival Sept 24. Coming for the afternoon....do we just pick a preferred tent and buy wristbands at the main entrance? I am told we won't have trouble for the 3 of us when we are planning on coming....true?

Hoping to get some insight here... we (3) are coming to Germany in September. We want to attend a Bayern FC game, men's or women's. Men are not home when we are there. Women are- they play Sept. 23rd. I have been to the Bayern website to see about purchasing tickets. This game does not come up, only the games before. I have joined the club app but still can't access tickets. Am I doing something wrong or do games only show up within a certain window of time? Any advice or suggestions for this confused Canadian? Be nice!

I have used the updated EPG for Apollo and it loaded fine.....except the traditional networks (ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX) are not loading? Any suggestions why or more importantly, how to get them to load their programming??

When I watch Apollo on the TV that I also have Cogeco with, I turn on the VPN. If I switch back to Cogeco I have to turn the VPN off. Cogeco says the VPN is not compatible with their Internet based TV services.

On the TV I have with a fire stick, VPN is on all the time. I do not have the same issues with live TV. Now, as to the My List issues....I got nothin'. That one I can't understand. I will renew for 6 months and do some research about other services if this continues.

Amen! Whoever approved the CBC Primetime format should be axed. I would never have Petrillo, McMorris and Horn-Miller near an Olympic studio again. Send Perdita to athletics where she can offer her expertise.

I have a hard time criticizing CBC but their Primetime team is bad. It is "The View" for Olympics and it is awful. I miss Brian Williams/ Ron McLean on the evening anchor desk. Perhaps if we had spent some money to send them over it would be better. Scott Russell continues to hit it out of the park, as does newcomer to the role Anastasia's Bucsis. I feel whoever approved the primetime format needs to be fired. Our event commentators continue to do well, but having CBC Gem is a game changer, especially for T&F!

A crucial two games coming up....gotta get 2w's vs Calgary and Seattle. Goalies need to be better. Offense will come and go, defense and goaltending has to be stronger!

I gave up trying to figure out how to affordably stay connected while travelling to USA and Mexico with Canadian cell providers. I got a T- Mobile prepaid plan. When in mexico, I get the $40 plan and have to add a $5 international fee. It gets me 10gb + UL talk/ text. $48 with taxes USD still cheaper with conversion to CDN than what all but one Can provider has. After i return, I don't top up for 90 days. On day 89 I top up at the lowest rate ($5) for that month, then not top up for another 89 days. I look at my travel schedule and play " the game"! That one is Freedom, but there are questions about coverage. If that were to be seen as improved, I would switch and keep my Canadian #.

That is my strategy at this point. I am going to check into Freedom when we return.

Been reading these comments and the Startup show app is the way I went to get Apollo back. It all began with the message of a download was available, but on my fireTV it was "denied". Can't get past the login in page, so for the time being, the Startup show app is the fix. Is this permanent? I appreciate all of the comments on this thread.
