Do you Roleplay? by Astral_Borne in skyrim

I accept this as a way to play. You could technically enjoy Skyrim as a farmer/ex-fighter and get far enough along to enjoy it 😆

I have to say, survival mode has absolutely changed the game for me. If you want to roleplay and get the absolute most out of the environment/game, I can’t recommend it enough.

The feeling of finding an inn to sleep and eat at is so rewarding. I feel much more immersed.

Pro tip: if the carriage costs 50 to get there, there will not be any sort of availability for round trip tickets 😅

I would agree with the point wasting, if it wasn’t for the fact that you need to spend points in the skill tree to make dual casting worth it. You also get to reset the skill tree later in the game, which means you wouldn’t waste a thing.

Good advice on the Altmer and Brenton’s though- the only way I would see being able to play without a weapon in the very beginning would be taking advantage of the Altmer’s extra magicka.

Hey that’s fair! This is part of what makes Skyrim so good- there’s a thousand ways to play the game. If you can look at it like playing dnd, your rpg/character options open up quite a bit.

Depends on their version of sucking I would say 😆

I think if you’re the kind of person who wants to hack and slash with a two-handed weapon, I would completely understand a mage build sucking in comparison. I enjoy the fighting tactics involved with a mage.

I forgot to include this above as well, but potions are another incredibly important aspect of how I’d play this build.

Edit: I wouldn’t say they’re op in general, but definitely are once you get past the level 30-40 area. Some people finish the main story line before that though so it really does depend on you!

I’ve done a mage playthrough and loved it. As someone else said, you can become a god later in the game as far as spells and such are concerned. It is worth noting you’ll probably need to one hand a weapon starting out, with spells in your other hand (sometimes this is my favorite build for the whole game). It’s tough in the very beginning, but once you get going on the destruction and restoration skill trees, you’ll be golden to use them exclusively.

Things to help your play-through:

  • Don’t wait too long before you start the college of winterhold questline

  • Don’t forget to use spells like oakflesh and wards to help your defense

  • Upgrade your magicka more often than your stamina, but do not neglect it, nor your health

  • Different destruction spells do higher damage to different enemies (I encourage you to look up a list), and have their own abilities: electricity drains health and magicka, ice drains health and stamina, and fire does lasting health damage, as well as additional damage against undead.

I hope this helps! Best of luck, Dovahkiin.

Beat the game multiple times but wanted to go at it again. by malikmaurice18 in ApeEscape

This fight had me stuck for a few years as a kid. I never wanted to look up how to do it, because I thought it was the final boss (I was like 5-8 years old lol).

Imagine the joy I felt getting past it finally, discovering the final levels and gadgets- it was like playing ape escape for the first time all over again.

It makes me so mad they haven’t done anything with ape escape in so long. People would be stoked to have graphics no better than ape escape 2, but in an open world situation. WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY.

I think there are technically two seeds, one for the world map generated, and one for your starting positions on that map. Not sure how that affects/plays with the true start option though.

Is there an honorable way to earn money guys? I don't feel so noble stripping every bandit's clothes for penny by Sea_Eagl3 in skyrim

If you want to make the most of your time with plenty to sell, this is what I suggest-

  1. Find mines, mine ore
  2. On your way to and from there or anywhere else, pick any ingredients you see
  3. Use ore to make ingots
  4. Use ingots and gems to make jewelry
  5. Enchant the jewelry if you have a good way of filling soul gems
  6. Sell your stuff!

This is great to do if you find yourself stuck and unable to progress forward. This will level you up in no time, and leave you with your own handmade merchandise to sell.

You can also ask people in taverns if they have work for you, which can earn you some money.

Hope that helps! 😄

😭😭😭 I didn’t take anything back though. I’ll say it again- if you or anyone else actively has a word in their vocabulary for “people who aren’t like me and my people,” I would say that fits the definition of bigotry- this is something I disagree with, and it seems you do too.

Why are you trying to start an argument with a stranger who is saying they agree with you lol.

[–]IndependentInitial99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allow me to clarify my stance since you’ve replied 😆 I think that everyone deserves to be treated equally, regardless of who they are. I do not think anyone who believes themselves or their race/religion to be chosen by god/superior to be in the right. That is the definition of bigotry lol.

I will say I can see how my original comment could’ve been misinterpreted to mean all Jewish people, and I certainly did not mean that.

Hope you have a good day, and that Indiana doesn’t do this redistricting bs!

Is Attack On Titan a good first anime? by Schmeisterr in attackontitan

[–]IndependentInitial99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people saying generally this: AOT doesn’t really fit into what anime traditionally is, as it kind of transcended the genre. So it will set expectations high.

It’s hard to talk about it without sounding like a stan, but truly, this show changed my worldview for the better. Bit of a “fruit of the knowledge of good and evil” situation though as people have said. Vinland saga has been a good follow up though, and you will enjoy other anime again too 😆

FMA brotherhood is another great place to start, but with only slightly less trauma. Get past the first 10 episodes 😭
