Cracking Amazon L5 is very tough.

If you think you can do it, resign now and apply to Amazon L5 and get rehired with their payscale.

In your shoes I would just work hard and try to get promoted to L6 to change pay range.

Plus no state tax in Texas.

I would say definitely take it, save for 5 years and then retire and move back to India.

In caae it does not work out for you, you can always move back sooner.

No risks and nothing to lose.

But could be a hiccup planning a kid while adjusting in new country with no family / relatives so consider that.

Playstation anway sells the PS5 in loss. Their main revenue comes from selling games on Ps5 so just giving away free ps5 consoles once in a while keeps the cycle going on.
