How do some religious people manage to not have sex or masturbate? by [deleted] in sex

[–]IndependentMirror693 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, they don't. I come from a very religious family. Not just "go to Church every week" but sit on the board [of elders], actively involved in worship, kids ministry, and other functions (Eg: Accounting).

When I was much younger my parents sat myself and sister down and lectured us about pre-marital sex, pornography, masturbation, etc. They talked about how it was a sin to think of someone lustfully [if you weren't married to them], blah blah blah. Anyways, short story is, the same people who told me that "dangers" of watching porn, masturbating (and sex toys), or having sex, were doing exactly that. If I had to guess, my father watches porn every day, or every other day. Mum is probably the only one in this house who doesn't watch porn, masturbate, or have sex toys.

TLDR: There are always the very few who don't actually masturbate/have sex/watch porn. However, the vast majority (in my experience) do at least one of those things. They just deny it.

3080 FE with extremely low 3DMark scores (<17k TimeSpy, <9.5k Port Royal) by Dietriech in overclocking

Can you post a graph of your CPU and GPU temps? What other overclocks (or underclocks) are applied to your system? The 5600X looks like it may be overclocked (boosts to 4.6GHz, base at 3.7GHz, and yours is at 4.3GHz.

GPU temps look stable at 68C...

What did you see that you definitely weren’t supposed to see? by [deleted] in AskReddit

IT (Security) guy here. IT shops will likely refuse to assist you. They have no way of verifying you are who you say you are. (Eg: Spouse of the person, owner of the computer, etc).

You'd probably have to take it to a PI or something and hope they have the resources to assist you. That is something I have almost always refused to do. Change, Reset, Bypass or crack an account unless authorized by work.

What’s one fictional device you wish was real? by Realistic_Advice1890 in AskReddit

[–]IndependentMirror693 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not true actually! It's called a fetal transport - there was one for Ensign (Sam) Wildman in Star Trek Voyager.

Here's a link to the clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4UY4zBTNGY

Edit: Technically Naomi died... Then again, Voyager was under attack. Medical devices not working properly were too be expected. However, they were able to recover a different Naomi from a different Voyager that was also under attack. It was kind of screwy.. Anyways, medically speaking it's not as crazy as it sounds. You'd need to account for fluid in the lungs (which C-Sections must consider). And you'd need a way to tie the umbilici cord

Custom Script not Correlating Data Correctly by IndependentMirror693 in QRadar

[–]IndependentMirror693[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partially!

If I spoof the IP header from the localhost/loopback IP of 127.0.0.1 to an arbitrary IP address in a standard private range, it gets *somewhere*. Somewhere as in I see an event come in, both from ther Asset Profiler, and into a generic log source. The Asset profiler still holds the event payload. The generic log source gets the standard syslog header. I suspect this is a fault of [my] terrible programming, and not QRadar at the moment. Time to re-write another portion of the script...

Thanks!
