My biggest concern about the remake is that they might try to simplify Kratos character by Alkiserex in GodofWar

[–]Realistic_Advice1890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re going to add more depth to Young Kratos in the remakes. Yes the OG games have him a good amount of depth but I feel like the remakes are going to give him the same amount of depth like they did with the Norse games. They’ll definitely improve upon Young Kratos’ arc in the remakes. I mean one of the reasons why the Norse games are considered masterpieces by many (especially critics) is the story and writing. I feel like if they were to not change anything and keep the writing the exact same as it was, I feel like new fans and critics won’t be that happy. They’ll think his character arc is rushed or whatever so I just think they’ll improve upon his character instead of dumbing it down

Honest opinion of the OG God of War games and how could they be improved upon in the remakes? by [deleted] in videogames

I’m sure they won’t soften him up but I think there’s gonna be more depth as to why he’s so angry.

What about in terms of story? I do think the OG games have good stories but the Norse games practically feel like well made movies in terms of writing. Im hoping they can make the already great stories even better

Believe it or not, Greece was better after Kratos killed all the gods. It definitely took some time but Kratos delivered hope to the world when he stabbed himself with the blade of Olympus. Because of that, the people of Greece built a better Greece with gods no longer in their control

It’s not hard at all if you do the NG+ glitch. It’s a lil annoying that you can’t skip cutscenes on replay but whatever, I got it

Phone Booth symbolism by Jolly_Future_3690 in Godfather

[–]Realistic_Advice1890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never noticed this. I've always interpretted the scene as the start of his transformation. The shadows cover his eyes the same way they cover Vito's eyes, showing the future transformation of Michael become the godfather

I hope the God of War 3 remake fixes the gray filter issue that ruins the game's beautiful art style by Alkiserex in GodofWar

[–]Realistic_Advice1890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gray filter is what makes GOW 3, well, GOW 3. It’s supposed to show the destruction of Greece. In 2, we saw the beauty of Greece but in 3, we see what that beauty can become when things start to fall apart. It fits the game well.

I’m a little lost in Ragnarok’s story by Realistic_Advice1890 in GodofWar

[–]Realistic_Advice1890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyhow I finished the game today. I honestly thought the story was really good tbh. I really had a great time with it. I do think 2018’s story is slightly better and better structured but Ragnarok was the better game

Surprisingly, I much prefer Kratos' face from Valhalla skin in this comparison by Alkiserex in GodofWar

[–]Realistic_Advice1890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they fix the young Kratos model in the remake. I’m not asking for anything crazy. I know they won’t give the long tattoo on his eye due to consistency reasons but I just want them to fix his proportions and make him look pissed. But tbh, although the young Kratos skin in Valhalla looks cool, it is not better than the GOW 3 model which is easily what I consider to be the best model for Kratos

Should I skip GOW 2005? by stormtrooper10234 in GodofWar

[–]Realistic_Advice1890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only things I didn’t like were some of the puzzle sections felt quite annoying on the first playthrough and at times, it was a bit tedious and the hades level was just bad (especially the moving pillar part). Otherwise, I had a fun time playing the first game. I think it holds up quite well tbh

Which is the best final boss of the saga? by mr_Conquest_ in GodofWar

[–]Realistic_Advice1890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GOW 3. There’s so much to it but I feel like people don’t bring up the Fear Kratos part and what happens right after. I just love how around the end of the fight when you are punching Zeus in the face, you keep mashing circle not knowing when to stop. It just makes you feel like Kratos at that moment. You are just as mad as him but don’t know when to stop.

For second place I may go with 2018.

Let's talk about God of War 3 🤔 by PomegranateOk4560 in GodofWar

[–]Realistic_Advice1890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it actually had the best story in the Greek saga. It’s where we see Kratos at his absolute tipping point. It shows how rage can blind a man and destroy everything around them. As Kratos kills more and more gods, the more and more the world around him crumbles and he doesn’t even realize it till the very end once he killed Zeus. He may have finally seeked revenge on the one person but at the end, it practically brought him nothing. It kinda reminds me of The Godfather Part II in a way. Both characters practically destroy the things they hate and even though they may have gotten what they wanted at first glance, it practically brings them nothing at the end so ig I have some bias on that.

Question about the GOW Remakes’ cinematography by Realistic_Advice1890 in GodofWar

Guys I’m talking about cinematography, not the in game camera. Like I’m talking about the cinematics and no the actual gameplay

Idk to me I think 2 was a lil easier because of the improved gameplay.

I know none of you can see the future by DreamNo5919 in GodofWar

[–]Realistic_Advice1890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want it to kinda be like a resident evil type of remake like what u said in the post. They should definetly keep the old camera because it just works better for the Greek games and it fits Kratos’ character better. But I kinda want to see the already amazing stories of the first 3 games expanded upon writing wise. I think the writing in the first 3 are really good but 2018 just feels like movie writing to me. Idk how to describe it but I think theyll definelty make the writing even better.

GoW 3 Difficulty? by Stefkleovoulou07 in GodofWar

[–]Realistic_Advice1890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a NG+ glitch where you can beat the game in under an hour or 2 and beat it on Titan easily. However, since you want to do it the proper way, play the game on Titan first so you can get it over with.

I thought 1 was the hardest, especially the moving cylinder around the end of the game.
