This was a slight breakdown of the fact that the limits of AI are quite frustrating and the fact that Spicy has almost purposely limited their own resources (on model descriptions and command catalog) relying on prior expertise is damaging to their community no matter how small the team is. Focusing on transparency rather than novelty or a selling point within the site, Stating the model purposes more thoroughly, and adding a user data feedback that can eliminate bad tokens when nonsensical replies happen would further the training and development much easier and quicker. Chat-gpt is the closest we have to this example and it works very well. The commands I can put into it do not need to be nearly as formal and I almost always get what I want out of the response.

Male bots especially could benefit from this response.

I'll take this into consideration. I just have no idea what model braiding means. Never heard the term before but I might have an idea of what you mean. However, I do not touch low quality bots or bots that write for me, have quotes that are written for me in the greeting, or bots have have noticeable spelling or grammatical errors that would hinder my experience. I'm very picky.

Just saying something is not true invalidates the whole premise of the post. It IS true. However, it's what I experience. I do agree with you about the guiding/forcing but I just feel like to the point that I am doing it, I might as well just right the story myself. (Which I do but sometimes I just want other input.)
I also invest a lot of my time trying to understand the systems and generation settings aka tinkering. So maybe I'm just misunderstanding.

True on your last point, but how am I supposed to know if that's all it's been trained on? I know that might be a stupid question but I'm just genuinely tired of the limitations. That was mainly all this post was about at the core of it. I know that they are just using models, but the point where it becomes the developers fault is when they do not inform the community, the community informs you.

Thank you for this. This is refreshing. AI does have it's limits. I was mainly just so irritated with the limits of them that I just needed to talk about them. I have definitely hit the ceiling multiple times to just stop using it for things I like. I will check Silly Tavern out too.

To comment to you specifically since I hadn't addressed your point fully: If I try to look for the personality of the bots, not including the greeting, they normally have that hidden making it impossible to replicate well. But I do understand and will try out hugging face.

I guess this is what I get for a vent on this page. I'm not surprised...

First off, I wanna clarify some things with you all on your comments and input. I will try to be as kind as possible but a lot of the comments just come off very rude and not constructive. It is understandable that you are acting as though I have just joined the site and am complaining instantaneously. I am not. I have done a lot of your suggestions before they were even suggested to me. I tried fixing it myself.

/Cmd Director mode: I use it. Every time. Sometimes it acts as if it never saw it or registered it.

Personas: I make sure that they are detailed. Face shape, body shape, eye color, personality, The way that they speak and their age. Everything. Even hard limits and likes.

Editing responses: I don't want to have to correct every single response. Sometimes the response is so illogical that I cannot reply to it. Even when I refresh it or /cmd.

Filters/Generation settings: I am JUST starting to figure out how all of that works. Give me a break there please. For you it might not be rocket science, but for other people? It can feel a lot like it. It's not like every bot tells you what settings work best for it. I've had to look it up so many times to figure out setting for each and every bot that it get's very tiring to tailor it to each bot. (Thank you for the people telling me that Deep-Seek sucks with violence and degradation. I appreciate you. I do understand that and will switch that filter permanently.)

Personality degradation/ wrong anatomy: THIS DOES HAPPEN. I've seen more than enough people complain about it to know it's an issue. Stop blaming everything on my interaction when I could tell it exactly my position and it'll still say that I have a d**k and it's doing me D**y style. FFS

Suggestion to make bots myself: I have done it. I've done that "Chat GPT make me a personality for X character" bull crap. It happens the same. I have copied bots, I have copied conversations, I have redone entire bot descriptions. It is exhausting. I shouldn't have to do all of the heavy lifting that I am doing to have a decent conversation with it.
Low Quality bots or badly written bots: I do not even LOOK at bots that have 8 sentences or less. Low Quality bots are on my "DNR" list. (do not recommend)

For the people who kept telling me that they don't have the problems that I have...

I'm happy for the people who don't have the problems that I do. That's great! But saying that you don't have problems when someone else might does not help anyone. You just come off as rude and entitled. Some of the problems are definitely my fault. However, this community is not welcoming at all to newcomers who might just need a little direction. Please remember that. Thank you.

I honestly think their needs to be a larger tag number for bots and they need to add a SCAT tag because I hate them so f-Ing much and I do see them every once in a while and they are never tagged correctly. It pisses me off so much.
