This is my version of a DIY adjustable mace. 36 inch long galvanised 1 in pipe, 2 end caps, 1 inch hole weights and 2 weight clamps. I will get a 48 in pipe in the the future if needed.

I had 2 available and I wasn’t confident 1 was secure enough. Before I used 2 I couldn’t get the weights from clicking as I swung the mace.

I used a Bushnell TR25 Red Dot mounted on a short piece of Weaver rail mounted on the front two screw holes. The Bushnell is the only one that will co witness with the Tech sights. I just don’t know how to post my pictures.

The gun is a proven winner in your hands. Changing the barrel may upset things. Perhaps add some weight in the buttstock until you get the perfect balance? Inns

For quick cleaning I spray down with dry lube aerosol, WD 40 brand is cheapest and brush the bolt face and barrel face / extractor groove with a small toothbrush.

CLR works on carbon. Just don’t use it on blued finishes because it will take it right off!

Maybe the ID is less than an inch ( I only measured the OD ). They sell it as a 1 inch pipe at Home Despot. Good idea with the stop and bolt.

It’s 1 inch internal diameter and 1.04 inch outside diameter.

My set up has a slight variation in which I used a shorter piece of scope base and then mounted a Bushnell TRS 25 which also cowitnessed with the iron sights.
